That's funny how you got the tree in your car. I drive a VW Jetta and have had to stick trees out of my sunroof to get them home. It makes people laugh as I drive by. Glad to see I'm not alone. Thanks for the info. I didn't know they had fruit and were m/f. I picked up a free sapling for arbor day and planted in front of our kitchen window. I'm excited to see it grow and become gorgeous 😍

Nice video! I see these trees planted a lot in Orange County- Southern California (zone 9). They color very well in late fall. They are usually the last tree to leaf out in spring as well, usually late April or even early May, but that color is undeniably beautiful! They are becoming very popular out west in California. They are sometimes even more colorful than Sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua) which can put on quite a show even in our very mild winter climate as well! Best of luck with that lovely upstart!

Thanks Brian! Yes, you are right about them being one of the last ones to fill out in the spring. It lasts until after thanksgiving and it is a showstopper. I can’t wait for it to grow some more. I think I’ll do an update in a couple of months when it fills out and is green. It will be fun to watch it grow! 😊

Very good information. Can you tell me where can I buy Chinese pistache tree 30 gls.
@homeandlifewithcynthia9 күн бұрын
I bought this in Atlanta at Pike’s Nursery. I have purchased another tree at fastgrowingtrees.com with success. Best thing is to call your local nurseries and see if they have it or they can get it for you.

Do you have an updated picture or video of this tree?
@homeandlifewithcynthia3 жыл бұрын
I'm making this video soon bc there are several requests for updates. It's currently green, so it will be nice to share this time of the year. I'll comment again when it's ready so you can watch!

Wow!!!! I stumbled upon your video because my wife suggests we get this tree. I think it looks pretty cool and that it would work well in our soil. We’re zone 7a, but more due to altitude. Anyway...I just want to say your ENTHUSIASM and adoration for this tree is OFF THE CHARTS! It is simply ADORABLE!!!! The way you describe it, is as if you have a guest who you’re catering to.., on a permanent basis! I LOVE IT!!! Would you mind giving updates on the tree? For instance, did you ever find out the gender? Will you have a gender reveal party? Have you seen any health issues? I heard bark split is an issue. Let is know!!! Ps, after I browse your channel, I’ll likely subscribe!

I thought I had already replied but I guess forgot to press send. Oops. What a wonderful message you've written. Thank you! I'm so happy that you can see my passion through my video. I truly love all my plants. My sister in-law says I call all of them my favorite and I truly see them as royalty. My garden saved me from spiraling into depression during a tough time in my life and I am always thankful for nature! Did you decide on getting this tree? It's one of the last ones to fill out. It is now April 18 and it's finally filling out with green. Haven't figured out how to tell wether it's a male or female yet. If I do, I'll make a video. Have a wonderful day!

@@michaelrosenow4239 Ok it’s just a plant then. They aren’t useful, & most of them don’t even produce fruits we can eat. They drop sappy sticky cones or unedible berries that attract pests like birds & squirrels

Have you had a problem when got the tree for the first time and then it gets sun burns have you got that on the your tree because I have a younger one In the front yard and sunburns get on the leaves and sometimes I think it might did

Joshua In the garden Hi Joshua. No I haven’t had a problem with sunburns. I wonder what’s going with your Pistache tree. I love mine. I should make a video to showcase it when the color isn’t as gorgeous (when it’s green).

If you bought it at a nursery, chances are they sold you a male tree. You can also ask them, they should know.
