it actually makes them stronger. ever notice how plants outside are much stronger than inside? that’s bc they go through harsh weather and wind. some ppl do too much, but it does in fact do something; encourages strong roots :)

it does work, actually. i had a monstera that hadn't put out new growth in months, and i shook it and a few days later it started popping out a new leaf. i've tried it with many of my slow growing plants too and i promise, it works and makes them stronger

It sends signals to the root system to spread out to strengthen it, not so much with vines.

@@laurelkendun maybe they’re not as strong because they’re not in their natural environment how come plants grown in tents set to the plants specific needs don’t have that problem?
