THE LITTLE BABY SUCCULENTS IN THE LITTLE BABY POT I CANT 😩😩😩😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰

Another hack for succulents: make sure they have a good potting medium! Horticultural grit or pebbles ect. are great for drainage when it comes to succulents! A lot of new plant people I know just put their succulents in pure compost, and then they grow leggy, so don’t forget forget drainage! Also don’t stress about watering that much! I literally water most of my succulents like once a month, (but that isn’t always good) try to water every week, depending on what works for you, when the leaves get wrinkly they need water!

the first one made me smile! I just setup a second succulent nursery using the tiny terracotta pots. They’re really handy because they don’t take up space and the terra-cotta is great for keeping succulent propagations at the ideal moisture level. I took 3 pots and a bag of small stones from dollar tree that I had on hand. Then I cleaned out one of those thick plastic takeout food bowls like from KFC I think. I repotted my succulents (a fresh elephant bush jade cutting, 3-4 rooted japanese stonecrop babies, and a cutting off the top of a juicy echeveria I thought was getting a little too tall) in each pot, topped around the plant with more small stones, poured a very thin layer of stones into the bottom of the tray, and then set the pots in the plastic tray, packing around them with more stones. I can bottom water AND top water the new nursery as needed, and its pretty sturdy so I’m not worried about curious foster kittens knocking it down from the shelf! ☺️

I think most plants are safe for cats, I usually look up if a plant is safe for my cat after I've decided I want it. There are more safe plants than there are unsafe plants. Also, a tip, if your cat won't stop chewing your plants, get it some cat grass! In my room I currently have a pilea, random succulent (?), and pothos. My cat doesn't go near any of them though. My mom is also an avid plant enthusiast, so we have a LOT of plants... I'll even admit one of them is toxic. The good thing is that my cat doesn't chew on any of the plants because she just eats her cat grass instead.

also i’m twelve and have 9 plants so far, if you don’t want your cat to chew on things, put lavender tea bags on it. i have an aloe vera plant and i tied lavender tea bags to it and my kitties leave it alone. you can also rub citrus juice around where your plant is, cats don’t like citrus juice.

We bought a Saraccenia that had moss in the earth (a lot of moss) and after the plant died my mom used the earth with moss for the flytrap. Is moss that harmfull for these plants? @ Izzy Ha wait wait does the window really matter?!?!? can i still grow my plant facing east??
@izzyha61732 жыл бұрын
@@Calleigh979 yes! I know it sounds crazy but it's how the sun rises and falls during the day time and different sides of your house get different lighting. And yes! Just be aware of how much sunlight it would be getting. East and west facing usually get less sun than a south facing which gets bright light. A north window usually doesn't get a ton so if anything a low light plant would be okay. Keep in mind low light doesn't mean it wouldn't do better or grow faster in indirect light. It just means that it would survive with less than the average houseplant.
