Here's the original PLANT WALL BUILD: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJCYcnupj9N2ppY Hi plantfriends 💚, choosing the right grow lights is important, more so keeping the right distance to the plants. I knew it would be an issue with all the different size plants but I tried regardless. Well, I tried, I failed & I fixed my mistakes. Just another wonderful lesson in my plant journey. Do you have any planty project going on right now? Anything new you're trying out?

For the issue you're having with the Mother light, I've had success with just removing the LED diffusion plastic over the LED board to get more light. The diffusion plastic obstructs a lot more light than I expected.

That's a genius idea, I have to try that out first thing in the morning 💡🤓 thank you so much for sharing 🙏

I have the mother light too, also think they are to week although nice desing, have to check if I can exchange the LEDs inside =)
@LeafyLuster Жыл бұрын
Exactly Szymon! I think the design is superior but it just wasn't the right fit for this exact kind of project.It sucks because it also isn't particularly cheap but I just needed to figure out another way to use it. If you find out how to exchange the LEDs I would love to know 😉

I use mother life as well and do not recommend when having them away to far from your plants. On their website they display how many protons reach your plant with further distance. I keep my plants max 40cm away from them, but not more. Thats what they are great for and I do love them. For further distances I use 32 sansi bulbs that have the power to feed all the plants and give out enough protons even with longer distance. I highly advise always checking the PPFD of lights.

Hi, thank you for the recommendation 💚Funny enough while hanging up the mother grow light I even talked about the PPFD and the recommended distances for different plants 🙈 I was just hoping the additional light from the far off windows might be enough to help out with that....well it didn't :D Especially not in the winter time! I have yet to try out the sansi lights but I heard only good things about it so far.

You’re very brave with your cuttings! Didn’t know wet sticks could be propagated in water. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for watching Carol! I throw them in the water out of laziness. It works most times, but sometimes they start rotting that way. So if you can I would avoid submerging them completely in water 😅😅😅

I love that you live in a jungle in Germany I don’t know what part you’re from cause I just started watching you today. I am from Schoenberg-kubelberg.

Idk if you remember this but: Splendid update: The sections air layered with perlite did not root. Only the moss did. I told you I would get back to you! But yeah, maybe only use perlite for a monstera or something.
@LeafyLuster Жыл бұрын
How cool you actually remembered to let me know. That's really insightfull, thank you. Honestly I am a little surprised it didn't work at all but I mean we already assumed this might happen 🤓.
@aidensiessmayer5615 Жыл бұрын
@@LeafyLuster true! also, the aerial roots were dried out, plus I know that people talk about how this plant doesn't root super easily.

9:54 Mamei is a crawler, sodiroi is a climber, and sodirini is a mini sodiroi. Probably not Sodirini because it's not in cultivation yet.
@LeafyLuster Жыл бұрын
I got this plant from a swap declared as Mamei, upon growing it for a while, it is definetly not crawling. Hence I am not sure what it actually is. The silver pattern is not looking like sodiroi either though ^^ At this point I'm just confused 😅
