Enjoyed watching your video, unlucky losing your fish, as for the weather rain, thunder, with more rain. had to laugh when you didn't want to put the rods out due to more rain, yep I get that too. Thank you for the show around of the lake, well done to your buddies bringing out those carp on this tough lake. 300mm boilie LOL. as for dropping your lead, there are always pros and cons. i too like to drop the lead if i can, hoping the carp don't use it to shake the hook. you will be dammed if you do and dammed if you don't. fish your way. your have a great attitude towards your fishing and i look forward to watching more. kind regards Maff. 👍👍

Why are you dropping the lead at Elphiks, it’s clay bottom, zero snags and weed, it might improve your hook holds.

Lead clip system mate. Last few years of fishing for me have been on weedy deep big pits, it’s good practice regardless of the lake bottom. Once the fish has picked up the hook the lead has done its job, it will then drop at some point during the fight. Appreciate it though fella 👍
