Planters & Succulents

It’s time to elevate my planter game. I have fought a good fight against the roots of established trees and unfortunately lost. Today I will be adding a few planters to an otherwise, dull area in the garden. In those planters, I am going to give succulents a try. I absolutely love the way this project turned out. It will add a beautiful conversation element to the garden. A cup of joe will taste a lot better while on my morning stroll for sure. I love succulents ❤ I do them! The thing is, with the cactus 🌵 ones will need less water. The others will need more. So, use a syringe to water. Looks beautiful ❤

It's not mentioned, but you don't compromise. You get beautiful specimens of plants, which instantly transform the spaces you develop. You may say, "It's fun," but what I see is, "I'M NOT PLAYIN'." Beautiful, as always.

Hi Mike what a treat two new videos from your garden to watch having coffee!My goodness how beautiful the planters look i love how it stops you at the split and gives a different element in the gardens.Id say you nailed the planter combo.Your a artist so I think it's a natural thing for you, Funny we both did succulents well I've had some for many yrs that were passed onto me and I just didn't pay attention to making them a part of my garden, this yr i did a area using them and i kick myself for neglect and not letting them shine . You did an amazing job with your planters and have inspired me to do this under my own tree. I love succulents they are so cool, I don’t always have luck with them returning though in zone 8b Victoria, Canada. We can get very wet in the winter. I noticed you have some beautiful pink spirea plants. I have the same one and it’s gotten so leggy. Do you trim yours down?

Yes ma’am, you can chop them back as far as you would like. I try to take my down to a foot in late winter. Then I trim each branch back at different lengths after they bloom. I do the different lengths only because I don’t want it to look like a bowl. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching.
