Good luck on Ur decision!! Lv them flowering pots!! Beautiful day too Enjoy Ur Gardening and Thank's for Ur New Beauties 😊

Your containers always look so beautiful! While I wish that I could replicate something like these, at $6+ for just one proven winners annual (in my area at least), it’s not within my budget. It would be so helpful to see a cost effective alternative for those of us that need to stretch our flower budget each year and don’t necessary have the time or space for seed starting. Maybe you and Aaron could do a pots on a budget challenge were you are restricted to the cheaper annual packets and direct sow seeds that many garden centers offer.

Hello Garden Answer friends. I am late catching up on wed, thurs & fridays daily 7 a.m. with Laura first thing with my coffee, before work routine. Last year, I came across & picked Guara same color a dark magenta with red hues Laura has chosen for this year, as well as the Oxalis, which is a deep purple 3 leaf clover leaf that flowers. They both performed beautifully. I wanted to dig them up & bring them in before the cold Michigan weather hit but weather beat me. They really are a new fav for me now too. The Guara was in a long container with others in filtered sun & Oxalis was partnered also with the same deep colored petunia or impatient now I forget what myself have planted last yr..but really beautiful & will repeat. I am in 5b zone but same here we are behind & had false summer temps then snow, now I thing with the rain really seeing Spring has sprung. My perennials didn't seem to stunned by the snow in past 1 1/2 wks...but now its trying to keep the deer 🦌 away from tender new leaves..they can eat my dandelions though..haha. Have a great day all.

I love how you use color, texture and height/width of each plant to form such beautiful containers. I also love that you rehome the living perennials. If something is struggling but still has life I give it time to rebound. Like what you and your husband did for the tree that split with the braces etc that gave it a chance to heal. I have a special place in my heart for that tree and look for updates. I have a rising sun redbud that had half of it's canopy torn off because of winds. I have it staked to try to get the canopy to recover and I think within the next two years you won't be able to tell the damage. I think it's canopy was too full. It looked like a pom pom. Now I have all my redbuds pruned to thin out the canopies. So far so good. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for another great video. I remember last year you talked about the sparkling amethyst Superbenas and I watched them grow in your update videos. I loved yours so much, I made a note on this years calendar that I needed to look for those. And, I found them. I now have some in containers and some in the ground. We have a white & purple/burgundy color scheme in our beds. The Superbenas are mixed in with Purple leaved Chinese Loropetlum, Dwarf Gardenias, Purple Mexican Heather, White Dwarf Agapanthus, Purple Angelonia, Purple Salvia and White SunPatiens. Plus some surprise, volunteer rubekias from last year. We're in Zone 9b. We also loved your Purple Geraniums so we planted some bulbs this spring. But nothing has grown yet. I see yours sprouting leaves and we've got nothing. Not sure what went wrong, we've only been planting new stuff for about 5 years. Anyway, I love seeing your plants in the various stages of growth. So often the tag just shows the flower, I want to see what the whole plant looks like in the ground, what shape it has, how long it will bloom & what it looks like after, etc. So, keep up the great work. We enjoy your videos and watch often. Happy long spring! :D

I’m in central/northern CA, zone 9b. Our spring & summer is usually very much like high desert weather. Similar to yours. I live in the area that hit 117 last September. It’s always warm-hot here & mostly dry by April. This wk we have temps in the 60s & a few showers! UNHEARD OF FOR MAY! Just last wk we hit 95! Our spring is usually from February thru 2nd wk of April. We’re usually consistently in the 90s by now. May can see triple digits easily. The lows have been in the 40s😮. It’s been a glorious spring! My roses have never been so beautiful! We’re so behind in our growing season & I don’t even care😊 I totes understand how you’re feeling about this awesome spring season.

I just had a thought when you were in your raised bed veg garden! Since you love the copper top raised bed caps that you installed at your sister-in-laws house, I bet you Paul could form copper tops/seam covers about 4” thick or so, so that your 45° angle cuts on the wood don’t show anymore. It’d look great new and when it weathers!! The seams would just be copper angle pieces and the corner tops could be whichever shape floats your fancy. Round, pyramidal, flat, etc. Romance the ordinary :)
