Aaron mentioned a blind spot when using the Bobcat to pick up stuff, have him angle a camera on it with a monitor in the cab. We are farmers and have done that with some of our equipment.

I just came in from moving overgrown hosta plants to an area that has become shady over the years. I’m 78 and still trying to do the digging in this rootbound, clay soil. I resorted to prayer when the shovel nearly broke. The idea to lift the whole clump and then split it with a saw yielded success, and I am still here to tell the story. Praise the Lord! Now I am enjoying the ease your tools afford you two in transplanting those huge trees.

I pulled out a huge rose of Sharon tree from in front of our kitchen window. It was beautiful but previous owners obviously didn’t think about its size when placing it there. I was going to do it last season and put it off. This year I thought the same thing…Laura says if you don’t love it, get rid of it. I really tried to save it to plant elsewhere but couldn’t get a good rootball without breaking my back. I felt so bad for killing it but oh my goodness the space looks so much better. And now I can plant something I love there. 😃

My husband and I love watching all of your videos. It's our evening ritual. When planting your trees, we hear you reading the tag for the size and then basing your planting on this. We know from experience and especially the information we've received from Iseli, the size they list is a 10-15 year average size. Nothing stops growing. If it did, they would be dead. We just don't want to see you having to rip things out, years down the road. I hope you find this useful and encourage you to talk to Iseli about the sizing they state on their tags and website.

I can really see the future of this land. So great to see little "Vanna" Samantha Grace and her flowers! So much in this one, Aaron and Paul using the new Bobcat. Aaron was like a little kid, don't blame him made it a lot easier. Also, even Russell got in the show. The people behind me planted a row of evergreens about 30 years ago. They're now 50 feet tall or more and competely screen out our properties. They can't see me, and vice-versa. I am grateful every day! I've added about 15 trees myself. Hope someday someone thanks me, too.

I see you getting Samanta used to spiders and creepy crawlies. You are a wise Mom. You might want to let Aaron in on your plan, he let Samantha see how he doesn't like spiders. This reminds me of a plan that the owner had at the daycare I worked at. She let us all know how much we liked beets before we served it to the kids, so they would keep an open mind about trying them. It worked well too, most of the kids tried them and liked them.

You might want to look into native grasses that put deep roots in that you will not have to water but the animals will love. You can enter saw it with what grass you already have there and eventually hopefully you will take over.
