Good morning Danny. I live in nyc and this morning I found a chair next to my back door. I would assume someone was sitting in it while charging their phone as my outlet is exposed in the back of my house (done in the last 3 months). People are becoming so desperate to come onto my property, sit down, and steal out power for their benefit. If I do anything other than call the police, so they can issue a summons (waste of time) then I get in trouble. This is so messed up. I ordered a locking panel now to counter this, but now thats one more thing I have to consciously protect

Yep I finally dried out last week. Was able to get into the garden spots and work the soil up Friday. It got dark by the time I hooked the planter and fertilizer unit on the cub. Rain was coming bin the next day. On my dirt if it rained on it I would have to bust it back again. I got out there a little after 6 in the morning and put in 4 rows of silver queen. Rain set in right around 7. Lord held it off long enough for me to get it in the ground even with a few little hick ups I had along the way.

I got the old heirloom Ferguson TO35 bought new for the farm in spring of 1955 running this last year. Plowed some in the fall and more this spring. Picked up two more Fergusons late last summer as parts tractors (TO35 and MF35) and then got both of them running, plowed snow with the MF35 this winter as I got lights on it faster than the heirloom TO35, you know how it gets dark in MI.

@jvin248
@jvin248 2 жыл бұрын
That might be a little high on the price but figure everything is up 20% or more due to inflation plus it's spring when everyone wants a tractor and probably a fair price. If you get it, your last tank of fuel in the fall before parking (or any time it might sit for six months or more) needs to be non-ethanol fuel. That's the source of all the problem carburetors and rusty tanks.

@@DeepSouthHomestead they are all over New England. Price varies on condition of course. The one you have is in mint condition. This one is in excellent condition I’d say say it’s a good deal.. $7k is high but if that’s the area your in going rate I guess it’s the deal. I see a lot of them forgotten in the woods. Good morning Danny and Wanda. I have had to give up on corn in my garden. I do it all with a tiller so the corn rows are flat. Then we'll get a 2 or 3 inch downpour and it gets washed away or many times if I have a good stand those heavy downpours and high winds flatten it and break it. I have a furrow attachment for my tiller that I my try but I still cant bed up my rows. Thanks from NC.

Try planting beans with the corn to get nitrogen. Because of the fertilizer situation this year, I have one plot where I'm rolling down last fall's residue to plant into (Regen Ag technique), conventional fitted ground, and the 'three sisters' corn+beans+squash. At times my father was scrimped for production so he'd make sure he cleaned out fence rows and dried out wet spots to reclaim more space. That can be ten to twenty percent more acreage 'for free'. We'd garden right up to the gravel at the side of the road. I've seen farms where equipment and buildings were sprawled all over the property wasting valuable land, and then a lot of work to keep the grass mowed and weeds down.

Why don't you just use a good little push planter? Buddy of mine drove tractor over last Tuesday, tilled up both gardens, that evening I planted sweet corn in the smaller, creek garden, I already had everything ready, and the right seed plate in, I planted 12 rows 75 feet long in about 30 minutes, and that's in heavy soil. Ive come to the conclusion, that unless your planting a acre or more, it's faster than hooking up and setting up a tractor mounted planter, plus no fuel, except calories lol.
