Doc, can you do a video on the raccoon traps and what you use for them. Buddy of mine is having a terrible time with them getting into his deer feeders. These crazy things are climbing straight up sheet metal like it’s a tree.

We use the dog safe TUBE traps... and we vary between dry dog food, wet cat food, and sardines

Something to remember for next year. Overseed your summer deer plots with American jointvetch. 5 lbs per acre if overseeding. This is very drought tolerant, and the hotter it is, the sweeter it is. You will see deer in the middle of the day eating this.

We don't spray on areas with clover.

There's really no reason to plant a food plot for deer in the summer. You can do it for a hobby, but it's a waste of time. It's for people that have a green thumb and like to tinker. They have enough browse in the summer naturally and if you hunt, whatever information you gain from cameras or deer sightings in summer is meaningless.

Before planting... those fields got little to no traffic. Maybe 10 deer. Now, ALL the deer from the area come the fields on a regular basis ALL YEAR. We often count 200+ deer a night. This builds a PATTERN that is maintained all year.
