Today is Fall planter day! We have removed the summer annuals and are excited to be adding fun new plants that will take us through til frost. We are adding two colors of mums, a few different ornamental kales, and some ornamental purple peppers and chartreuse millet. They turned out great and we can't wait to watch the mums open and show us their full color.

After my mums blooming and not lasting very long I now plant fall colors of marigolds and move them forward in their pots in the fall. Turns out great and I don't feel like I wasted my money because I plant seeds. This year I have yellow and orange and rust. MK

Good morning🌞those cabbages and the millet are fun, The containers turned out gorgeous, I love the billowy roses with the fall plants. I started last week planting display containers for our Fall Market coming up at the Nursery, after the horrid heat of this summer I am more than ready for autumn🌞

You can take cocoa liners and place in the bottom of your planters and it keeps the concrete from staining🌻

I planted mine to be Fall/Winter. Last Year the kale grew a lot so I made sure this year it had it with a grasses that is supposed to just dry out in winter but give a fall red color. Added pumpkins. 4 weeks is to short to pay for something that will die soon. Edit: Also beautiful planters.

One of the many content creators I watch (Heidi,? Tracy?) uses decorative grow lights in the shaded entryway to improve growth of plants. Might be an option for you instead of faux greenery.

Wonderful as always! Questions: 1.Love the pot in pot idea. Do you get lucky, or do you have a good source for different sizes to use? 2. How much sun do the head planters get? I'd love to see Bunny Tails Grass in them next summer! And in your garden for that matter. I don't remember seeing any before.

Loving coral mums! Going to be spectacular. Stone stands set on the stones for the busts. Give you a little more wiggle room on the steps. How about miniature evergreens in them?

The roses up front did quite well this year. I do some spraying in the mid season for Japanese beetles, I wait until later in the evening so no pollinators are effected
