Planting Garlic & Progress!

In this video, I show you my garlic planting process in the Fall of 2023 in zone 7B and then what it looks like in March 2024. This garlic will be harvested probably July 2024.
You can plant in the spring, you just have to do a little research on the type of garlic you want to plant and when to do it in your planting zone.

Thank you for your explanation of elephant garlic. To explain more... In Korea, this garlic is called 'Great King garlic, King garlic, Bear woman garlic'. There is a painful history of this garlic. The seeds were taken by the United States during the Korean War in the 1950s, and garlic was grown in the United States for a while, genetic information was permanently returned in 2007. Sowing is generally done from early October to early November, and harvested mid June. The taste is close to onion.

@@CottageontheCorner I am not good at English, because I am Korean. please understand. To tell you more.... It's spring here. But this year, the temperature difference is very large because extreme weather. It rains frequently, so humid and overcast skies days continue. So there are many days when it's not a good environment for garlic growth. The soil here is diverse, red clay, mud, sandy soil, etc.... The place I grow is close to mud. The best soil for suitable soil is a mixture of sandy soil and mud. The kind of garlic I grow is from Spain. In korea, it is called Nanji-hyung Daeseo-maneul. Nanji-hyung : Warm season. Maneul : garlic.
