Planting John Deere 8100 & 7200 12-Row Planter | Farmer in the Boot

We work on getting the planter ready by putting in new Precision Planting seed tubes. Then we fill it with seed and fertilizer and head out to the field to start planting. We’re just small farmers and a small custom feed operation. Farm a little land and feed some cattle nothing too fancy.

did you roll that ground before planting? If so, how do you like it doing it that way? I've thought about doing the same thing

Just some of the ground that was real clumpy we do conventional till with old equipment the roller smooths things out
