Morgan Orr I turned on this video while making breakfast, within 10 seconds I hear my 6 year old twin boys say “mom, wait! Don’t watch Garden Answer without us!” Thank you for providing us with such great videos. Because of you, they have planted their own butterfly/cut garden this year. ❤️🌸🌻

That is so sweet. My son wasn’t interested in gardening at that age but now that he is grown and has his own home he plans his garden beds and plants all the plants. So I guess all gardening rubbed off on him.

Your videos are such an escape for me. I'm an American living in Manitoba Canada, and we are on our third lockdown. The US border is closed, and so that means I can't see any of my family. We aren't allowed any socializing with anyone here, and watching neighbors will report you if you do. No church, no restaurants, we aren't even allowed out of province without quarantining upon return. It's been a rough year, and your videos are a bright spot. Thanks so much for being here on KZbin!

In 2020, I had nothing but time for keeping meticulous records. In my teeny-tiny garden, all grow bags and a couple of raised beds I built from old fence boards, I brought in over 150lbs of food. Every time I brought in a harvest, I laid it out on the counter, and took a photo. I marked up each photo with the date, and a variety label, if needed. I used a regular kitchen scale to weigh how much of each thing I brought in that day, and logged it into a spreadsheet. So, at the end of the season, I knew how much harvest I got off of how many plants. Which varieties produced the most, or prettiest, or tastiest fruits. It was 2020, though. I kind of hope I'll never have that much time on my hands again.

The roses are beautiful! I grew up in a gardening family, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles you name it. I've notice that veggies perform best when mulched. We have planted 100 foot rows in the past and for sure those didn't have mulch (except in sections where the soil needed amending) but we could see the difference. My hubby likes to keep track of how much we produce, it is interesting. The garden looks great!
