I think the other commenter is right that those are spider babies making those long webs as they jump and practice their skill. I know it can be annoying to walk into them, but try to turn that annoyance into gratitude - just think of all the aphids and mealy bugs and flies they’re going to eat next year! Plus, a fully woven spider web on the porch, glistening with a light frost - it’s a thing of beauty and the craftsmanship is to be admired. 😊 Loved the video - can’t wait to see how the new plants do next year.

Good morning! I like having my first cup of coffee as I watch you plant. I'm in Mid Michigan & an MSU Spartan. We usually don't like Buckeyes, but I made an acception for you early on. I'm retired, 73 yrs old & I garden on an acre on riverside property. Garden on Nick. Oh, loved the cement pumpkins😊

Cool! I'm utilising holly's for privacy screen. They are not that slow growing and easy to start from cuttings. Just cut pieces and put them in the ground for the winter. You can also transplant them. Nice shrub selection!

I am planning on putting a good bit of mulch around my 2 El Niño Chitalpas for the winter. When they are young they reportedly will freeze back to the ground. I also planted mine where I will enjoy the fragrance.

I believe the spider webs are the babies leaving their nest. I seen it in the movie Charlotte' Web. But...not sure lol

Webworms? Fall webworms? My entire backyard is covered with them! Single webs that connect to other things in all different directions, can't stand them!
