I know you're providing drip to these trees and they'll be receiving lots of love, but would you recommend leaving the burlap on a tree/shrub in a dry climate without frequent irrigation? We don't live in a dry climate, but I recently removed some landscaped shrubs from the front of our neighborhood entrance to replace them and the burlap was still completely in place and not broken down - 15 years later! I was amazed and the plant hadn't even rooted out in that time (that's why they were being removed). I just thought if it didn't break down in our climate over that period of time, it may struggle in drier climates to break down. I was so surprised to find that myself!
