Hi Emma I have had my allotment 20+ years now, my sanctuary for sure. I have been feeding our fox family with dog biscuits & homeopathic meds sent to me by the National Fox welfare society to cure their mange & it’s working brilliantly 🦊 one of them comes right next to me while I am sitting having a hot choc break we have named him Freddie. So thank you for feeding your 🦊 visitor bless you😘

If you did trim your long bits off of your mesh on your pumpkin arch you could attach them to the other side that is too short with some of those tie wraps and then you would be able to peg it down x❤️

Hi Emma, love the interaction with the fox, you see now, there's no need to be affraid of him, he's more afraid of you. I also want to give you a tip about the rhubarb: make sure the crown of it is above ground. If it's planted too low, it can rot, a bit like strawberries, they also need their crown above ground. Have a nice weekend and I'll see you next week... 😉

Hi Emma, love getting inspiration from your videoes - you sure get to work! I really admire how you just keep going and have fun with it. :) A little tip for the rhubarb, if you want early rhubarb as well. Its to get a rhubarb bell og a tall dark bucket with the bottom cut out. Cover the rhubarb with whatever you choose, bucket or bell, and then the rhubarb will stretch and grow towards the light and sun - and voila, you have early rhubarb! :)

I really hope the strawberries work out for you. When I moved in, my allotment was 50% fruit of various types. My strawberry bed was a little larger than yours. Out of all my fruit, I ended up with just one strawberry... all the other fruit were stolen!!! I nearly gave up the allotment but this year, I'm going to grow all the fruit and "nickable" crops at home and use the allotment for the less "thief" attractive items. I sincerely hope you have better luck than me!

@@acestudioscouk-Ace-G0ACEthat’s just awful! This is why the four-legged critters don’t upset me, but the two-legged ones do on a regular basis. It’s infuriating that people actually feel it’s fine to steal out of another person’s garden-so much work, time, and money goes into those plants, the disappointment of not being able to have a harvest due to human ignorance is crushing.

Hey Emma! Love the video as always :) Quick tip, the strawberries which you got from the runners you can take off all of the brown and yellow leaves as the plant in the centre (the crown) will shoot out new shoots which will be green and healthy.

Hi great work, if you start at the bottom of the pumpkin arch with one end of a roll peg it into the ground go over and peg into the ground the other side and cut it off, then start again peg the end and go up and cable tire the next roll to the end of the first one keep going with each roll pegging and cutting and I bet you will only need three rolls to cover the whole arch, saving you a roll. Then you can use the remaining roll around your sweet pea teepe.

honeyoye is a early variety. some varieties are better for eating fresh and some are superior for jam making. I can recommend " korona" for jam making, it is rather bland tasting fresh but needs less sugar and the strawberry flavour is strong in the jam. that fox has no fear of humans and unless you try to catch him, he wont hurt you. that is my only problem with wildlife: I want to cuddle them!
