I like the pot combos and where they are. This video made me realize I made a miatake a couple of days ago. I needed a home for a few herbs and stuck them in a blueberry pot. I didn't think about the acidity of the soil. I will have to move them to a better home!

The formal English garden layout sounds brilliant. Maybe with some rambling roses over an arbour? and a nice focal point at the end of the lawn?

When you pot up the blueberry bushes in separate pots, place them in between those seasonal pots! You will always have some interest and movement as you enter the drive.

Those calibraocha or million bells actually are perennial down to zone 8b. My grandma has a plant that's lived for 6+ years, and their winters get down into the low 20s and high teens sometimes. It's amazing to see it bud out in spring every year

I had such a fun time with my 4 yr old grandson planting the blue berry bush babies that I picked up at the local nursery. Jack, my grandson, has now harvested his first four blueberries! He was thrilled that he could grow his own favorite fruit. Thanks for the inspiration! Now his momma has planted more blue berry bushes to have them all along the fence in their back yard. Thank you, Brian! Youve inspired another generation of gardeners.

Pots look wonderful. Love the different alyssum colors, instead of the usual white. Will try and find that next year, your videos are always inspiring. I put a pump dispenser on the top of my flower fertilizer containers from Neptune Harvest. 4 squirts weekly, 8 squirts bimonthly in a watering can. Beats taking off the lid every time I use it.

Loved this video!! I cannot wait to see your progress through the seasons. The English cottage garden & the formal English garden & courtyard are going to be absolutely beautiful. I will have to look to see in your other videos how to run the tubing. I have never tried that. I love the choices in flowers you chose, Especially the spill over kind. That always looks stunning. Keep these wonderful videos coming and thank you for all the hard work you do to bring them all to us. God Bless you & your family. 🤗❤️🙏❤️

Seasonal pots lining the driveway is very nice. Move the blueberries if you have to.... that said, what about bulbs? Can you get enough variety of flowering bulbs to cover most of the year so you can leave the blueberries? Am glad to see how you used the skinny drip tube in the pots! I've not been happy with the watering heads in many locations in our garden and this could be a good swap.

Love the new flowers around the blueberries. I have used those in the past to cascade over the sides of a larger plant as well. Unfortunately the deer like them too. Love your idea to leave them along the driveway and change for the seasons. And I can see you guys having a good old fashioned English garden party in your completed formal garden! Thanks for all you do to teach us, I frequently rewatch certain videos to refresh my memory before I plant something new. Tehachapi mountains, zone 8b.

I really like those little flowers. They are wonderful. I had 3 blueberries potted and they all died after the second year. I did try acidification in the soil and acidic fertilizer, but that did not help. I was away for a few weeks so not watering could have done it. Now the plants are so pricey I don't want to try again until I feel more sure they will grow. Another great video. I am not excited about the English garden, but you could change all that when I see it finished. May the Lord keep blessing you and yours.

Maybe rectangular (formal garden) trough planters, in between the blueberry pots, for planting seasonal interest, and allow the blueberries their whole pots as they grow larger. ...a nice, formal-looking driveway border that can have seasonal plantings.

I garden almost entirely in containers, and I had a good laugh over your drip error. I can't tell you how many times I've either forgotten to turn on the timer, or open up the emitters, or forgotten to put in the emitters at all! Also, a question: There's a south-facing spot in our front yard on a slight slope where the sun pounds down all day long. The only shade it gets is when the sun goes down. I've mulched the heck out of it because even with drip irrigation, it dries out super fast. Even plants that are supposed to do well in full sun often languish. So, would alyssum do well there? I'm all for self-seeding, and I'd love to see some growing among the coreopsis that I've also been letting self-seed for the past couple of years. Thoughts?
