In case you didn't think of a way to use the quarter inch tubing in this scenario, you can puncture multiple spots along your half inch tubing on the east side of your bed and run the quarter inch perpendicular to the half inch.

So happy you got your cut flowers in the ground ! If you have trouble with the drip you could try running a 1:2” solid line at the top of each bed then running 1/4” tubing up and back connecting to the black line in shorter lengths. See Urbanfarmsteads video of his new vegetable beds as an example. Can’t wait to see the new flowers.

I’ve had good luck with the 1/4” drip, running for a length of up to 25’, as directed on the label.

I would wait until april for the soil to warm up, but if you want you can get them started in pots and get a head start!

Hi Janey! Do you have a strategy in mind to get to the flowers in the back of that front bed to cut them when they’re blooming without stepping on the other flowers? Curious minds want to know your strategy there for the layout. They look like they might grow up pretty thick. 😊 Can’t wait to see the progress with these flowers!

Hi Kadie! No strategy... Just will be tiptoeing thru to get into the middle bed! 😆

My Ranunculus is not flowering yet and some of them are turning yellow and dying. I think I planted them too late, our temperatures here in Central Florida are in the 80s during the day.

I’m curious why you didn’t fall plant your Scabiosa and statice? Also do you plan to keep them as perennials since they are perennials in zone 9? I love that new statice, I wish I had seen it on johnnys.

This garden bed wasn't ready for planting until January this year, otherwise I would have definitely fall planted! I won't be keeping them just because I like trying new varieties! I'll let you know how the new statice does, I'm excited to see the blooms!

@@DigPlantWaterRepeat oh right that is definitely the struggle with us that struggle with space. I’ve out grown my large back yard with my cut flowers. I’m considering succession planting my sunflowers in my front yard 🤦🏻‍♀️ if my u-pick land potential falls through. If you wanted to follow our journey of starting a u-pick flower farm, it’s on my channel. One last thing! Those starter trays with side openings look awesome. I’m definitely going to try for my fall planting this year. Keep up the good work. You’re a genius!

Would it be better to run the tubing the other way and just tap into the 1/2" tubing five times? Asking for a friend😊

Haha I did that way last year. I was just being lazy this year. Yes that would be better. 😉

Janey, please don't feel funny about asking folks to subscribe, give a thumbs-up, and leave a comment. Hopefully, most people know how KZbin works! By the way, I always try to do all of those things, although I don't always leave a comment because there are always so many. Have a great week! ~Margie🤗

In my neighborhood the "side yard" between driveways is half ours/half neighbors. Is that whole space yours or did you just ask if you could take it all and make it beautiful?

Yes I did! Oh no! Make sure you are using sterile seed starting soil and not watering too much. That will avoid damping off.
