Right on Will! My Dad who farms in Ephrata/Quincy sells John deer 71 flex parts and planters. In fact he was just down visiting and mentioned that he might of sold you some parts! Small world. He still uses the flex planter for his early sweet corn. All the best and The Lord’s blessings over you, your Dad and family this farming season.

That 71 flex planter is all you need. No fancy electronics to cause stress and problems. Just remember to check the spring fingers every year before starting planting. Making sure they snap back down freely. I had no luck with those depth band wheels, mine were always falling off. Still plants the same without them.
