1) The goal on the first 10 flags is to max your Sun collections. Plant as many sunflowers as possible and don't worry if they get eaten, you'll have gotten profit out of them by that time.
2) Plant the Cattails asap, just two of them can clear out the early waves of zombies. They can attack all rows so really cheap as starting plants. They will also take care of Balloon Zombies and can help attack Miner Zombies. No need to put pumpkins on them, they're cute and they never get attacked.
3) Only need 4 Cob Cannons for this setup, planting on the grass sometimes gets eaten by the imp zombies when they land.
4) The freeze and atomic shrooms are useful in later stages, they can be planted ahead of time and wake them up when huge waves come in.
5) Always check your pumpkin health in the pool. At later stages when there's too many zombies it's hard to check if they're close to getting eaten completely.
6) You can hold out Gargantuars by planting cheap plants (e.g. puff shroom costs zero, sun shroom and scaredy shroom only cost 25 sun)

Great strat! I was stuck on 14 flags but now i jumped to 50 and still going. The most frustrating things about this are hearing the jack in the box hidden behind all the gargantuars and misclicking the cob cannons. Aside from that, its really amazing for people who havent played in a long time.

I didn't realize how light of a defense could get you through the first two flags, it's not usually a sun thing that ends up making me lose, more poor management of cob cooldowns, but that much extra sun in the first few batches could still be pretty handy.

i just use imitator potato mine on land and gloom shrooms in water for the entire first flag. Then when i get enough sun i can just plant many cobs for the second flag

Diggers should die on the shrooms at the back, just rebuild the pumpkin. Zombonies don't reach the plants in this setup. Only red eye gargantuar and a fast jack in the box need one cob. Good luck!

My highest is 50 flags using the 10 cob cannons strategy but the con of this strategy is the dancing zombies, zomboni, jack-in-the-box zombies can easily destroy the cob cannons and the plants near them. This is so cool! Thanks for the awesome strategy. Been playing this video over and over. After taking my own shots with this, 28 was my best but I am hoping to do better. I am not sure what are the best instant defenses to bring. A common fate I have in my run is running out of sun after needing to replace gloom shroom (when pumpkin gets eaten fast or jack blows it up) and then the sun needed to defend or repair pumpkins doesn't add up enough to defend.

Glad it helped! Yes the jacks tend to destroy shrooms when the explode fast. I plant a lot of su flowers to get bsck the sund. Instant kills are the cherry and atomic shroom. The free shroom is god tier to delay the gargantuars.

While this setup is great, I find that Giga-Gargantuars force me to use my sun for replacement of plants. I keep getting to the 50s ideally, but around the 20s and 30s it gets really bad for me. My sun then goes down from 9000+ to below 2000 within a few minutes.

I see the trick is to ration the 2 sets of Cob Cannons. Giga Gargantuans are not the scary Zombies in Flag 100+. It's those Jack in the Box Zombies. When they explode they can wipe the Shrooms in the pool and that's when you lose. You can use the freeze shroom and atomic shroom when waves have giga gargantuans.

@@ajl4878 I usually plant the freeze ahead of time and wake it up in case zombies get near it. Doom Shroom, I plant at the start of any huge wave. Usually damages the giga gargantuans a lot. I use the right most squares for doom shrooms since you can't plant on the square for a while.

Good observation, the way I plant the mines is a strategy. You just need 3 squares for the potato mine to activate. Placing the mine further away is risky as you can't plant another mine (not active) in front of the activated mine if another zombie pops up on the same lane.

Hi my problem this time was my defense was breached by digger zombies. They eat pumpkin and as they eat, I can not see which one has low health to choose which one plant as they eat, they block the vision. They also eat imitater and I guess maybe there is an interval for repairing (even when no imitater is used) because 3-4 times I have lost my melon pults in back. Also pumpkin repair takes attention so cob timing is harder. I know when we launch as the huge wave of zombies approaching writing disappears, we kill gravediggers also. I am scared to play this next level :) any tips?

I usually play with sound on, when I hear those jack in the box zombies I launch cob cannons on them after 2 seconds of hearing them. Then every huge wave after that use explosive plants. Don't wait for your shrooms to kill them.

For me, using this strategy, it's digger zombies and zombonis that cause issues. Jack in the box caused none. Have you got any tips on zombonis? They really screw me up everytime they appear. They can't be frozen or slowed, break the spikerocks, insta kill everything after that. And I'd constantly find a melon missing in the back row even with pumpkin still there from the digger zombies. I only got to flag 40 btw, maybe that's why Jack in the box didn't cause any issue

Nevermind: 1) The melons were disappearing because of the basketball zombie. Decided to keep the 2x umbrella leaf constant. 2) The reason zombonis were screwing me over was because I was spending so many suns to kill them before they reached my defenses, meaning I didn't have enough suns for the Giga and Jack in the box. A bit of patience and I discover the Zombonis 99 times out of 100 will die before they reach the Gloom Shrooms. 3) I now understand why Jack in the Box is an issue. But now there is another problem. There aren't enough cob cannons or explosive plants to kill all the jack in the boxes within a short time. So I guess it's just luck?

Glad to hear your problems went away. The zombonies are scary but trust the shrooms they will destroy the zombonies before they touch the plants. You have to time your Cob Cannons, just 2 per wave (One at the bottom, one at the top). Listen to the Jacks if there's one who plays fast then you bomb it. Other than that Jacks die from the shrooms before they pop they explode. And always bring shrooms to replant in case a rouge Jack explodes..

I have it on 24, i only spam winter melons and the Halloween pumpkins , the gloom shrooms helped me with The zombies that gp below the lawn, but too much gargantuars then I put Cob cannons, that got eaten on the flag 23 But thx :)

If you complete the setup the zombonis should explode before reaching your plants, it will look scary but trust me they won't reach the plants. But to be safe you can nuke the zombonis with cob cannons or bring explosive plants.

Don't worry the sun collecting part is hard for Flag 1 to 10. After that you only need sun when your plants get blown out by jack in the box zombies.

You need the pool winter melons to slow down pool zombies. At later level there's a lot of them and the slow from frost helps in slowing down their bite on your pumpkins.

@@Kumukunchi i tried my own strategy with the sun strat with golden magnet shroom and ice shroom, it works a little bit because the winter melons on the inner sides have a chance to splash the slow the pools while ice shroom can also freeze everything while the gloom shrooms freeze.

Try replacing one of the pool winter melons with anything you want. At least in the computer version of the game, I've found that this is all that is needed for the pool, since zombies virtually always spawn at approximately the same time in these two lanes. It's certainly more dependable than random splashes from the adjacent lanes on land, and practically as good as using two. Of course, you lose a little firepower in one of the lanes, but even bucket zombies tend to die before they take a chomp in either lane, and I can't tell the difference in the overall effect.

@@Kumukunchi by loadout I mean the set of plants you picked before starting another wave. My cob cannons were always been used for the groups of gargantuars. So, on flag 36, I lost because a group of red-eye gargantuars were annihilating my base. I used cherry bombs, cob cannons, squash, jalapeños, but they wouldn’t die. There were too many of them

I see probably because I skipped a few flags when I created this video sorry about that. The red-eye actually isn't the main problem on endless, it's the jack in box zombies. For Red eye just space out your cob cannons, use cobs then cherrys. Then on the next wave use the next cobs then squash. That should work. Don't spam the cannons, only use them for red eye or jack in the box.

When i play endless when im done with the other ones, when im on the harder flags i got 5 achievements in every round. 20-below zero, smash king, explodinator, defcorn 5, Melon-y lane

But i never remove my twin sunflowers cause i protect them with pumpkins and umbrella leaf to avoid bungee's. And i make cattail 4x because the shots it goes where exactly the zombie is and meantimes use magnetshroom to get rid of those metal stuff, and use w. Melon to keep zombies stuck and fire 2x gatling pea lane with this torchwood to finish them off but in the pull setup is good

Great strategy, I don't use magnetshroom as it won't be able to handle the mobs at later stage. The cooldown for it to activate the magnet again is long unless you replant always.

Yep setting up the plants takes time but you'll get used to it! Cattails and sunflowers should be enough for the first few levels, then slowly build your shrooms.

@@Kumukunchi a specific survival endless strategy i like uses 3 gatling peas and then a torch wood which is quite good and deals with zombies really well, its weak to screen door but it's no big deal(it's called 冲关三炮 if you wondered, it's pretty powerful)

When I hear the Jack I usually send cobs to them after 2 seconds. I also use explosive plants, I space them out so evenly during the state. Freeze and Atomic shrooms are great since you can pre-plant them and they have huge range. Always bring shrooms just in case they explode and replant asap.

1st 10 flags most of my plants are just Sunflowers. When it gets to 9,999 I just keep 2 doublesunflowers and plant some sunflowers at the front when I need more. Just be alert when you lose plants so you can plant again. Losing more plants is the main reason to run out of sun.
