I'll have you know that I played PvZ on the DS. It was amazing. The fact that the system can barely handle the game is great because you get some weird graphical glitches every once in a while, such as half-invisible gargantuars, though it also means that I can't save my progress in survival endless. I have owned the DS version for more than 10 years and it has become my de facto version of the game

Survival Endless is weird because it doesn't save, and zombies generally move faster or something because strats that work on the PC version don't work on the ds version. Some stuff you should know: -placing two rows of sunflowers help with sun production -Sun shroom is half the price of sunflowers, letting you set up early while spamming low-cost plants -Zen garden is more or less a daily chore so that you can earn lotsa money. Don’t expect more than 5 minutes spent in that area -you can buy pool cleaners and roof cleaners, that are basically the lawnmower of those areas. -There’s adventure 2, which is a replay of the original game, except you are forced by Dave to use three different plants every level. -There are almost endless strategies in the game. Try to experiment and see what you find. On the pool levels, I used melon pults, cattails, spike weed and tall nut to delete the zombies.

Pvz ds was is actually really fun, the game uses really good sprites for the characters and the music isn't bitcrushed and instead it was completely redone within the ds limitations. Otherwise the game is almost exactly the same as all the other ports. There's also an extra final boss which plays like a side scrolling shooter. So if you ever get the chance to do so, i say it's worth trying out

To me, the PvZ series were absolute childhood jewels. Unique plants with pun-filled names, new zombies that make you rethink your strategy, amazing environments that add to the difficulty the more you progress, and an incredible, catchy soundtrack. Also, if you would like to play PvZ2 with a similar experience to playing the original PvZ (i.e. no in-app purchases, micro-transactions, and ads), then I highly recommend checking out these two mods called PvZ2 Alternate Univerz and PvZ2 Reflourished, which are free to download mods made by a dedicated fanbase to the beloved tower defense series. Each of these mods also got their own plants, zombies, areas, and music you won't find in vanilla PvZ2, but improve the gameplay and quality overall.

@@Narvalo_Lastar even big beach wave and modern day are able to be beaten with lvl1 plants and no power ups, you just have to use your plants right. Besides, you can always use your zen garden to help boost some plant in case you are struggling with a level.
