Plantsmans Diaries 2021...Bringing you up to date

We are back with a similar format. They won't always be as long as usual, though I kept saying that last year each and every week......drove myself near mad trying to decide what footage to cut out. I have tried to cut out the waffle and irrelevancies in the past and just seem unable to render stuff down to a quick slick and professional looking finished item. It's just not our style I guess, but there are plenty more out there that can it seems.
Thank you all for sticking around anyway, I'm not sure how these videos will evolve, as unlike last year this is not a series as such, just the diary of an (almost) retired nurseryman/gardener. There will be a lot from sunny side in the coming months I would imagine.

Oh happy day! To wake in hot Australia to the crunch of snow and the usual Plantsman's banter..what a delight. Thanks Malcolm, I lose my gardening mojo in the heat of summer, but misty autumn is on its way here, and your nursery tour encourages me to get out amongst it again. On your recommendation, I unexpectedly found and snapped up a Katsura tree, so looking forward to the smell of fairy floss/burnt sugar this autumn. Stay well, all of you. Thanks a bunch!

When I left school and started work on a nursery, my first boss was obsessed with cleanliness, winter would see all the glasshouses washed down with bleach, prop house with old fashioned Jeyes fluid and latterly Kryptonol ( smelt like hospital, took the galvanising off Dutch trollies ). The Chrysanth house would be sealed off, and Sheep dip put through the spray lines via an outside diluter. None of this was very organic but we rarely had to spray for Pest & disease.

I would like to back some previous comments, your videos are never boring, it breaks my heart when you are apologetic for showing the 'same old things' or 'nothing exciting' this week, it's nursery work and plants and this is what we are all here for, no need for sensationalized content plenty of that everywhere else and it doesn't get any of my time. Love the propagation bits and just day to day chatter and chores nothing wrong with it keep it coming please. I wish the nursery series would never end. I've only found a few old videos by the wonderful Geoffrey Smith but he often stressed the importance of garden tidiness too so between the two of you I have gotten the message! Omgoodness that was wonderful, welcome back to you all, I usually watch your videos the first time at night in bed, and your dulcet tones send me to sleep, then I watch it fully conscious for breakfast, but I. So glad I watched it at dinner time, bc Peter and the wolf would have woken me up with a shock, and if tht hadn’t then the pheasant and you exclamation would have, you make me roar some times, and I can’t thank you enough!
