Don’t change Malcolm, I watch your videos because you are true to yourself. Let the haters tune into children’s tv, no swear words there! My husband cannot watch gardening content, except yours, you are relatable. Love your garden. Cheers from Australia.

So glad you're posting again Malcolm and visiting Eggleston again. I'm still trying to pick myself up after the winter and motivation has been very low this year. But following your videos and enthusiasm it's really helping me get out and do things in the garden.

So glad to see you, Malcolm.I must admit it took me a moment to get used to your cheeky humour but now, its been boring without it. Dont go changing. You are a treasure. It was good to see the Eggleston Hall crew recently. I learn so much. But where has the gorgeous English Rose gone? Clara, I think? Sending best wishes from Kaye, Australia to you in my spiritual home, the UK.🌳

Hi Malcolm first time I watched you at Eggleston Gardens years ago you were talking about Aggastache and you said it gave you a stiffy. I had to replay it as I couldn’t believe my ears. 😂 I’ve loved watching you ever since.❤ You are a real plantsman. These people want to lighten up. 👍🤗

Good God….did I say that? …I should feel embarrassed, but don’t. There were scents (probably no longer available) that ‘used’ to have a similar effect…Just Musk; Anais Anais; and Light Blue……I’ve often wondered if that’s what their really intended to do 😂……Anyway Marilyn, I don’t think it’s as important what you say as ‘how you say it’….the same words spoken by another might come across as aggressive or pervy…..now I’m worried! …….not really. Thank you for your kind comments and very best wishes….Malcolm

@@plantsmanscorner128 You were looking at a large clump of Agastache Black Adder in the garden. It was a large beautiful clump. Love what you’ve done in the garden. Plants look wonderful. I’ve just bought a tree peony in a pot. I read they should be planted in Autumn 6 inches below the where the stock meets the stem. Will it have lost the leaves by then?

Well now, hope the "lie down" did the trick, us old geezers have to watch the blood pressure!! speaking of which; don't get me started on the (not all) dog owners who think it's perfectly ok to let their pets tramp all over my plantings at will. The garden is a delight, thank you for 😁making the time to show us the progress. Have a good - (F-BOMB) - evening. Regards from Canada.😁😁😁

Vast majority of your followers do so because they take you as you are. Down to earth (no pun intended) , no woke sh.t . They love the craic and the knowledge you share following a life time in horticulture . TV and life in general has been spoilt by those who are easily offended or appear to want any excuse to feel offended . 👍

Your garden is a true treasure hunt, everywhere you look, something special and beautiful. Would love a video on why each plant is there, what they mean to you. That cemetery was lovely, so peaceful. For myself, I'm looking at a "green burial"; basically they put your body, untreated, into a wicker basket and plant you in the woods, sounds nice to me. Preserves the woodlands, and gives my kids and grandkids somewhere peaceful to soothe their souls. As far as your language and/or demeanor; I've been subscribed to this channel for a long time, because I like hearing what you have to say. You are authentically Malcolm, and I find that wonderful. Oh, might you find a garden kneeler helpful? (like a padded stool, kind of, but with rails so you can stand up once you're down, lol) Well, thanks for the video. Have a wonderful week.

I agree with you Malcolm about hand weeding from time to time. I garden on a budget and self sown plants are a godsend. However, I made the mistake one year of letting a Welsh poppy go to seed. Years later II’m still digging the beggars up 😂

There are so many ferns….and like hostas many look so similar, others look alike but develop an individuality as they mature…..I’ve looked at the video and am pretty sure though that one is ….“Dryopteris affinis 'Cristata The King' “…..at least I hope it is or I’ll look a right tit. Though I have to admit there are many plants I have whose names I’ve forgotten, as there seems to be an ever widening black hole where once was a mind…..but I’m pretty sure this one is right. Best wishes and thank you for your kind comment…..Malcolm

Hi Malcom, I have a gardening question! The day after spraying neem oil on one of my lupin for a few pests, the flower buds completely wilted & the leaves all curled. Nearby anemone leaves & penstemon stems also curled. The lupin was a glorious plant with 7 or 8 buds about to bloom! 😢 Does neem oil damage lupin & other plants? I checked the soil moisture, which was perfect. Could the neem be a bad batch? Could it have been the couple of budworms or snails I picked off & this is just a coincidence? Help! PS - ignore the stuffy comments of others. I love your videos just as they are!

Malcolm, a great video as always. We've mountains of ground elder at home, it's beginning a thug. What would you do to control it? Lots of regular weeding or is there a plant that can help reduce it?
@plantsmanscorner128
@plantsmanscorner128 5 ай бұрын
Sorry cricketer…I don’t know of a plant that will control it. Regular digging out is all I can suggest if you don’t want to go down the chemical route. I you do round up (glyphosate)is effective…..TO KEEP IT TO A MINIMUM OR AMONGST OTHER PLANTS; Use a wiper method. Find an old wooden or fleece glove, something absorbent. Put this over a rubber glove and dip into a small solution of the diluted round up and then just go along gently wiping the leaves of the ground elder…..it is effective,doesn’t soak into the soil and can’t be used for things like bindweed that twine up through other plants….just be careful not to wipe other plants. This is the best method I know outside of weeding/digging…..you can buy ‘weed wipers’ online I believe but this is a cheap and simple alternative. Hope that helps…..best wishes…Malcolm
