In this video I used 1 gallon of full strength black Plasti Dip with UV protection and 1.25 gallons of VM&P. I thinned it a little more to deal with the cooler weather.
I also used 1/8" vinyl line tape that I picked up from a local Maximum Auto Parts.
I used the Wagner MotoCoat from awarehousefull.com to spray.
When thinning your own Plasti Dip be sure to use 1 gallon of thinner (Xylene, Toluene, or VM&P) for every gallon of un-thinned Plasti Dip you use. This means 1 to 1 ratio or 1:1
I prefer to use un-thinned Plasti Dip with UV Protection as an alternative to pre-thinned RDS(Rubber Dip Sprayable). I think the added pigments in RDS are great which is why I add pigments to my own Plasti Dip jobs, but I am able to save about $70-$100 per job by thinning Plasti Dip myself.
