Maaaan….I wish I had your vision, skill and techniques. I can’t even THINK in the way you do. This is incredible to watch, but quite disheartening when I realise you can’t do this myself!

Thank you so much for your videos. I’m starting on a scratch build myself and your videos have help me a lot so far. The way you temporarily glue pieces together to make matching pieces was a game changer for me. The little bit of time I spent building I have had great difficulty making two pieces exactly the same. Again thank you so much your workmanship is one of the best I have seen, good luck with project I will be watching intently. 😁😊

Thank you my friend, I'm so glad my video helped you. That is one of the reasons why I make models and upload videos. The way I use it is not my original, and it has been used often among modelers for a long time. But it is one of the effective ways to make parts of the same size. Because I need to sand the adhesive surface again, I temporarily glue it with no resin adhesive like Tamiya cement, but it is more effective to use instant glue it does not melt the plastic. Thank you again for your interest, and good luck with your project too. :D

A creative imagination coupled with the ability to foresee the final outcome can lead to awesome viewing, Great work my friend, you are on the zero ( zero % tolerance = perfection) i would love to see your version of a full blown mech M1 Abrams or the Israeli Merkava :)

Amazing stuff. Following this project with great interest. I can't wait to see what sort of paint job this eventually gets!

Thank you. I'd like to show you my model finished, but I think I still need more time. even if you're disappointed, I really want to finish it. haha.

Editing half hour videos must be pretty time consuming too. I really like the long form format, and am happy to wait as long as it takes! I shouldn't imagine rushing a project like this would end well. And in the meantime I can get stuck into your scratchbuilt spaceship videos 😁

Thank you very much! I must make it hard not to disappoint you. of course, only as much as I can. haha. I'm really enjoying making models, one thing I want to do when I upload a video on YT is to bring this joy to you. :)

Yet again. Amazing stuff. How much wiggle room? If any is there for each subsection to slide onto the rest of the build? It all seems to just fit perfectly!! Also, what is the ‘actual’ build time vs what we see? It must be days right? 😀🕺🏻🎥🏖🇦🇺
@onthezero4 жыл бұрын
Actually, it's almost exactly. It's not because I made it incredibly accurate. there are many mistakes that I didn't show you. If the parts I made doesn't fit well, there's no other way. I have to rebuild. So, it takes quite a bit of time to create a half-hour of video that you see. :)

Haha, thank you! I also want to finish it soon. I'm partially modifying the design of the parts I need to make, but it's not easy for me. I feel like I'm always walking a tightrope between boldness and balance. ;)

wow...from the simple smooth looking legs to an extremely detailed waist. I see, you're upgrading your game 😏 but seriously though, it took you nearly half a year to complete half of the mech. My project will probably take 5 years at my level 😂🤣
@onthezero5 жыл бұрын
Maybe those smooth legs need to be detailed through the panel lines. of course it's after the upper body and the arms were built. In fact, I make my model at home about one day a week. I don't have much time on weekdays because of my job. Whenever I can afford it, I'm doing simple things or modifying the design. It's caused by making models as a hobby, but I think it's not bad. If making models is a job, I think it can cause different problems. Anyway, so far, I think it's okay because it's fun to split the time, make models, upload the videos on YT. I don't think there are many ways to make models very quickly, but it's one of the good ways to make details through kit-bashing. I think it would be a good idea to build a frame using traditional methods and 3D printing to make detailed description parts, but I haven't tried yet. I hope that there will be good results in your model work. I think it would be a good reference for me if I could see your work. :)

So you use your only spare time to work on something you love to do (building models) and even use extra time to record and edit video on KZbin. I think that's amazing and admiring. Thanks you for doing so, sharing your work and inspire me to start something too😁 Even though i procrastinate quite often 😅 yet I still feel proud that i tried something new and is looking forward to finishing it too. This method of making model is more exciting than 3D printing everything. As for detail it's a great idea kit bashing, simple and quick easy to add cool detail. i would want to try that too but too poor 😎🤣

As far as I know, amateurs who are not experts are mostly like me. They split up the extra time to make their favorite models and share them with others in a variety of ways(blog, insta,YT). In that sense, I'm not special either. Sometimes I think what's the use of this hobby. But I think it would be a great honor if someone loved my models and videos, got some inspiration from them, and started working on their own. That's why I started KZbin and I'm still making models. Haha From that point, the comments that you saw my video and started your own work were like a big gift for me. so I want to help, but I feel sorry that I can't do this because of language problems, time and location. well, I'm not even a good teacher. LOL I hope you find joy through your own work. I'm sure you'll show me a better work than I do, because I saw your passion in your comments. :)

@@onthezero It's true that there are many others with more professional modelling skill is on various social media, but their works doesn't inspire me that much compared to yours. Most i see are the ones who make model from kits or have a theme (planes, tanks, or ships...etc only) that they stick to. While you create cool original models with no specific theme that limit your creativity. And seriously i've only see less than five projects on youtube with a scratch build mech. The rest is kits.
@onthezero5 жыл бұрын
Yeap, that's true that there weren't so many mech or spaceship models on KZbin I could refer while I was making. there's a lot of video about painting and completing the kit, but not many videos that detailed the process of making. I recorded most of the process I made and uploaded it after a little editing, and I think it inspired you probably. I don't think my video is special or great, but it would be nice if it helped you in any way. I'm always grateful that you've been watching my videos and always encouraged me. :D
