Hi, I've been in awe of your scratch building skill all through this project. You may downplay them, but as a veteran builder of over 35 years, I recognize true skill when I see it. Your ability to work extremely precise is very inspiring, and something to aspire to. One question though; did you ever finish this project? This episode has been the last in the series for a very long time now, and I'm sure there are lots op people waiting for more, just like me... 🙂
@onthezero

Thank you for your interest in my work. It's hard to explain in detail, but the damn virus that occurred earlier this year has had a lot of impact on my job and I've become hard to invest time in modeling. This project is slow but still ongoing and I want to release the next episode to you as soon as possible, but it is not yet possible. Sorry about that, bro.

@@onthezero I can certainly understand that. Things have been hectic here as well, and all plans have had to be adjusted. Good to hear the project has not been shelved though. Just take your time and stay safe and healthy! 👍

i love watching you work i inspired .I was wondering if you have ever thought of working with some epoxy clay are something else to create complex curves.I think they would complement the detail level and manufactured look of your stuff.
@onthezero
@onthezero 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your interest and advice! Any materials may be used as needed. If I need curves, some epoxy will be the right ingredient. but, this guy I'm building these days aims to be made up of straight lines. Of course, other projects after that will have different forms. Yeah, may be. :)

Hey! Found your channel pretty recently and I've been enjoying it immensly. It's inspired me to try doing some of my own work! I was wondering what your design process for these builds are and even where you get your styrene from?
@onthezero
@onthezero 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your interest. :) My design process is not special. It can be said that it is all about drawing a few sketches on paper and identifying structural problems with simple 3D modeling.(SketchUp) Many of my ideas are coming from my favorite movies or animations, and I think they are a continuation of the transformation and synthesis process. I bought styrene from the model shop where I live. My friends in other countries say that it is difficult and expensive to get styrene, but I don't know what your case is. I recommend searching on Amazon or eBay.

Fantastic! Kinda sad I can't find any places near me or online that sells styrene sheets for a reasonable price ); Maybe they're just that expensive.
@onthezero
@onthezero 4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I don't have a good solution to that problem either. in online, I could get materials at relatively low prices, but I still feel they are expensive. Especially when I buy tools that are specialized in modeling.

Do you buy your styrene in bulk and if so where??? Love this build
@onthezero
@onthezero 4 жыл бұрын
I'm buying styrene sheets at a model shop in my country. This shop doesn't seem to sell abroad. I could find a similar item on eBay, but it's much cheaper considering the shipping charges. Compared to Tamiya's products, it is much cheaper, but there is little difference in quality.
@JohnSmith-dz9zl

I don’t blame ya then
@onthezero
@onthezero 4 жыл бұрын
I can buy styrene sheets(210x290x0.5mm size 5sheets) for 2$ at the modelshop in my country and I have to buy Tamiya(0.5mm B4 size 4sheets) for 10$. Tamiya was 14$ on eBay. I guess the reason for this difference is the problem of the distribution systems, but I'm not quite sure.
