It is extremely important that in heath care staff always keep their face and keep calm even when difficult. When I was at school I was bullied and one guy kicked my lower back. I had to be taken to the hospital and a doctor was furious. I was a child (9 or 10) and I though that he is angry to me and then I got even more scared (I had pains too). Soon I was explained that doctor was not angry to me but to my bully and the teachers. I am already adult, but still remember facing unknown angry adult. I don't blame the doctor, I was told it was very emotional to all who were present. Child's mind just don't work as an adult.

While I wasn't a kid at the time but 21 I had a pulmonary embolism. I waited for hours upon hours to see the doctor and finally get admitted. I was lucky it didn't kill me. I was admitted and had iv meds given to help break up the clot but my nurse the next morning was short with me and acting super angry. Later they apologized stating that what they were mad about is the doctors not immediately taking me into surgery to put in a filter so the clot wouldn't be able to travel to my brain or heart while it was being dissolved. Their anger did lead to me getting that filter put in and obviously all is well now but at the time I couldn't understand why me being sick and alone in the hospital was making this nurse mad. Turns out they were only mad in order to try and help me.

Having also worked in the medical field, only a doctor may give the diagnosis to a patient. I worked in the veterinary industry, but that was the rule there as well. We, as support staff, can run the tests, but only a doctor can explain them to the patient/client. We are not authorized to do so. We can only give instructions on how to administer medication, when, what signs to look for and such, per the doctor’s request. Seeing something for the first time can be shocking if you’ve never seen it before, but remaining professional and calm is imperative, yes. The patient, or client in my case, is already freaking out about the situation. No need to make it worse. I agree. 😊 Compassion and understanding is key.

I’ve had at least 75 Brain MRIs in my life (partly because I have MS) and I had a lipoma in my brain which I knew about. Yet, some of the technicians would kinda freak out when they saw it and would try not to tell me. I was born with accessory nipples and very large breasts (HHH) and for some reason they didn't notice them until I had my breast reduction. The doctor said it was very rare and it was the first she had ever seen. As I've gotten older, they've shrunk a lot but the Mark is still there.

"menstruating on one side"? Would they not be concurrent because primarily controlled by hormones? Or are her hormonal cycles going to be messed up too? A woman normally has two ovaries that are both producing estrogen, so are somehow coordintated to the same timing, so wouldn't these two systems be coordinated as well?

I remember a woman getting pregnant when she was 5 months pregnant in Italy sometime in the 2000 I think? Anyhow, could this be the reason? Or is there other reasons this can happen? I don't remember they mentioning anything out of thr ordinary though. Btw, you're right, the human body is amazing. Around couple months back, I saw a woman saying that she developed at 9yo. Completely. But didn't get her period till she turned 15. I don't know if this is common? But I had the understanding that all of it came together...🤷♂️

Considering how it's laid out on a graph, is it possible to have surgery done to basically remove the division and connect them to form a proper uterus? Or is it better to just remove one of the two and hope for the best?

A neighbor and his wife were nurses. We were talking about weird stuff they had seen and the knew a nurse at the hospital who had 2 vaginas. My wife was a nurse and we called the woman and with her husband there she showed us. That was in the early 1970's

Once my brother told me that his friend got a younger brother born with 2 penises, unfortunately the doctor/surgeon decided to cut the bigger one. I hope he won't hunt him someday.

I also have uterine didelphys and it was also discovered during a pelvic exam where the doctor felt something unusual. It was confirmed via ultrasound and MRI and it turns out I also have two cervixes and two vaginas. That finally explained why I would bleed through a super plus tampon in 10 minutes but it would be dry when I pulled it out - I was bleeding from a different side than where I put the tampon!! Sex was usually not painful because one side was bigger than the other and a penis just fit there better 🙂I had the vaginal septum removed a few years ago and my periods are so much easier to deal with🙂

I was in a Müllerian anomalies support group years ago, and everyone with a vaginal septum complained about tampons not working. I just had a complete septum of the uterus, and my only signs were painful periods, and the doctor complained that it was hard to insert instruments inside my uterus. And whenever I had a miscarriage, the second uterine horn would eject its content days after I thought the miscarriage was done.
