This video makes me so happy that in my early 20s a lovely surgeon like yourself refused to do a breast augmentation on me- I was a tiny framed girl with natural DDs and my then boyfriend was encouraging me all the way and the lovely surgeon said at the consultation that it would be unethical for him to add more weight to my small frame as I’d get neck and shoulder pain and eventually lower back pain and possibly even breathing issues if I slept on my back too. Well cut to now I’m 34 and with age and changing hormones my chest has grown to 34F and my frame is still quite small but I am experiencing all of those things the surgeon predicted so if I had implants on top of this too I’d be in hell! So the thought of cancer related implants too- nope just nope.

It's not that they DON'T KNOW. If they go to a board certified surgeon, they will discuss ALL OF THE RISKS AND BENEFITS of surgery. All surgeons discuss the risks and benefits with their patients of ANY procedure they perform. Good surgeons will hold a discussion with their patients and not hurry through it. Having worked in the Pathology department in a Bay Area hospital I formed friendships with great plastic surgeons and they are the best people I had the pleasure of knowing, and I learned a lot. Same holds true for Dermatologists. In the group I worked for, we had a top notch Dermatopathologist, and conversations with him were so informative. I learned so much from him, especially regarding the care of your skin. Your skin is the largest organ of your body and you must take care of yourself😊

@@rust44 Actually, there's a reason why people typically go to Korea to get plastic surgery. The doctors don't study everything. One doctor picks a specific subject to study and they become the best at it. I'm not a doctor but! I've done a lot of late night research (aka falling down a rabbit hole on the internet) about BrightOcular or the iris implant. Basically, it's a silicone implants that is coloured a certain way, and it's put right on top of your iris. As far as I can tell, this procedure is illegal in the US, but some people fly out to places like India to get it done. Usually, this all ends with the patient becoming blind or partially blind due to the implant rubbing up against the pupil. It's horrific and sends a sinking feeling to my stomach. I'd like to see the doc talk about it someday.

I don’t see the point of plastic surgery myself when it’s purely for cosmetic reasons and not to restore something. But these videos are just awesome and I have so much respect for Dr Youn for being so honest and telling people to avoid certain things instead of advertising having procedures done. If I was ever to need plastic surgery (in my case it would be to restore something in case of accident or illness) Dr Youn would be a plastic surgeon I’d truly trust!

Thanks for the info about textured implants. I've heard some stuff about them not being entirely safe, but only vague info. I'm gonna get a breast reconstruction with implants, hopefully by fall this year or winter. I had a double mastectomy 6 years ago, so no breast tissue left to speak of. But I'd rather have a safer result than a prettier result, honestly. I know they're gonna look fugly either way lol, and that won't be because of the implants. I'm totally fine with that though. I don't care if they'll look like someone made them while blind-folded and high. I want them really badly regardless and I know I'll love them. I had full B-cups before and would like something like B or C again, but depends on what can be done, of course, since I'm very flat now.

For some reason, my body began rejecting the hyaluronic acid fillers and became infected, TWICE, with two different medical providers! It's been almost 4 years now, and I still have scarring on my cheeks where it happened. No rhyme, no reason. I have used Bellafill in those sunken areas and it has been a very good thing.

I had it done along with Celfina and the results were natural and smooth. Extremely painful recovery yet I chose a well known (very pricey) plastic surgeon because when it comes to our bodies is priceless. I stayed hospitalized over night with a personal nurse and my legs were wrapped with the device to keep my blood circulation monitored and well.... Of course my primary doctor made me take my labs twice before surgery since she wanted all my levels including electrolytes to be perfect 😀 and to support the demographic of the type of woman who gets this done I am petite, yet never wanted a ridiculous big butt, just slightly perkier and smooth!

I'm glad you mentioned textured breast implants. I had textured implants and about two years after my surgery, I got a really bad infection in my left breast. My entire breast turned bright red. I went on antibiotics and had them taken out.

Is it true that the fat injected in the butt or breast doesn’t even last? If so how much of the fat survives? What about fat injected into the labia some women get this done. It’s called labia puffing. Is it safe compared to the others?

I had a BBL back in 2017. Other than swelling and limited sitting ( directly on you bum). It was the least complicated procedure I had, with NO problems. Now, I didn't get a massive booty, I had a lower body lift ( lost a lot of weight) so with the lower body lift, I lost my ass.. just wanted to make it look natural. Can't even tell.

I had otoplasty when I was 12 (pinned back my dumbo ears) and I had a scar removed on my head which gave me a bold spot. I still have a tiny bald spot but it's almost invisible. For all other plastic surgeries, I prefer to spend that money on going on a holiday with my family. Happy memories, happy experiences that are absolutely priceless !

You know since we avoid BBL We might as well avoid marriage Because of the over 50 percent divorce rate They say divorce increases mortality rates What would be the point of having relationships? I guess for attention and validation So that at the end of the day We accept ourselves . ( Just food for thought and contemplation of surgery)

Butt Implants - Dirtiest part of the body - High infection Bazillion butt lifts -#1 mortality rate (1 in 3K) - Fat embolism (If you have to do it go to these doc's: 6:10) Permanent fillers - Only get Hyaluronic acid injections: Restylane, Juvederm or Scultra (poly-L-lactic acid) Textured breast implants - Cancer (ALCL) Thread lifts - Aka - Short lived & leaves barbed wire sticking out of skin on face If you don't have time to watch :)
