I use tulle as a netting to enclose my blue berry bushes which are 3.5 feet tall. The tulle is 4 feet wide. I put 4 foot green garden stakes around the bushes then clip the tulle onto the first stake with clothes pins, top, middle and bottom, then continue to the next stake and clip it, and so on until all sides are enclosed. Then every foot or so I put bricks along the bottom so birds can't get under. There is enough material at the top to pull together, fold over and secure with clothes pins to enclose the top. Then whenever I harvest, I just unclip the top to harvest from the top... and also remove bricks from the bottom and reach under and up to harvest all the lower berries. Then close it back up until the next batch of berries ripens. Tulle is a little stretchy so it gives when you are reaching in there. I also use it to cover beds of ripening strawberries, just hold it down with small rocks so it works double duty. It is cheap and you can buy it in any lengths you need. It lasts 3 to 4 years before it starts deteriorating. After it is deteriorated, small pieces of it can be used to wrap around watermelons or bunches of grapes to protect from birds and squirrels from taking bites. They don't like to touch tulle because it snags their claws and makes them think it's a trap!
