I love how You make that pseudo bevel/fillet with those curves :) at 3:34. it's much faster then the pipe, difference bool, patch combo, and still looks good!

as you not include audio on your video, at least Adding subtitles to your videos would greatly benefit beginners, like myself, in understanding the content. It would enhance the overall viewing experience and make it more inclusive. Thank you for considering this suggestion.
@shanester1832 Жыл бұрын
i thoroughly agree, subtitles or an AI narrator chiming in on key points would be very helpful.

These tuts make a lot more sense once you know the functions and how the program works from learning the program. One thing that threw me was not using filleting to produce the beveling but instead using the g1/g2 curve bridge

This was a great practice, thanks a lot. One thing I am unable to do is to make this a solid. I tried thickening this but it fails, then I tried extruding the edges and fill it but still it remains a sheet. Let me know if you know the solution.

Nice. What is the command for blend curve? Nice to see cage control being added on surfaces.

Hi, at 2:19 how do you get smooth option on "patch hole" menu ? -> I am on 1.4.6 and I just have linear/G0/G1/G2 as Continuity options No smooth/normsmooth/linear as visible on your demo... Anyway, thanks for sharing tips.
@Kuechmeister4 ай бұрын
This is a older beta Version of Plasticity, there G1 only was a orange point, now it is a black point with "G1" on it.
@ronrobson507611 ай бұрын
Thanks for the cool tutorial. But I have no idea how you rebuild the curves at 0:30 in order to pump up the surface. I can see Alt+1 but it’s doing nothing. Help appreciated 😊
@Kuechmeister11 ай бұрын
It's not the normal rebuild it's subdiv curve, now it's ctrl s.
Nice. However I am stuck with the curve's offset operation at 2:52 . When I try to offset, it would create a new circle on the Z plane instead of inside the curve.😑
@sturm3d Жыл бұрын
ah, found the mistake, this curve offset needs to be applied in orthogonal mode..

Some good techniques here. At this point do you prefer Plasticity over Moi3D? Why?

In this video I show the pros and cons: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rni8k2mwptKJf5ofeature=shared
@Kuechmeister4 ай бұрын
In my job I use both. For my Tutorials I use Plasticity, because in Plasticity actually are more interesting new features and the development gives every week new tools, in Moi3d happens not so much.
@MrSunamo4 ай бұрын
@@KuechmeisterYes, that's the problem I find with Moi3D. The UI really needs a better update than what appears in the V5 beta, plus the updated ACIS fillet engine still feels a bit unstable. The main thing that negates the appeal of Plasticity is the subscription based system, even though they claim "you own the software". You have to repurchase significant version updates, unlike with Davinci Resolve, when you purchase the studio edition it comes with all the version updates. So I'll wait until Plasticity 2.0 is released before I finally make a decision. Thanks for responding!

@@KuechmeisterI actually ended up getting Plasticity, thought I'd be waiting but kept finding that Plasticity is so much easier to work in. Really looking forward to 2.0 and your future videos.

What am I missing around 1:11 ? You are selecting the 2 purple points to make the new circle shape. Mine isn't showing any purple points to select. It feels like a simple issue like a box is unchecked somewhere.
@cezramirez3336 Жыл бұрын
they selected the borders and duplicated them as curves with shift +D , the purple points are the end points of the newly duplicated curves :)

At 2:03 when you join the inner spline using loft it shows all the loft properties forexample G0 , G1 , G2. But in my case It does not show any of those options.
@RonAdamsky11 ай бұрын
I've the same issue. My version 1.21 maybe in older version was different.
@Ojama_5 ай бұрын
what is the Bridge vertex shortcut ?
@Kuechmeister5 ай бұрын
In this case, I copy the edge to spline and press "L" for Loft. But now I only select the edge and press "F" and search for "Bridge Edge". But in Plasticity you can define your one shortcut for Bridge Edge now.

@@Kuechmeister I'm not new to 3D modeling (started back in 1990) but I'm relatively new to Plasticity and can follow what your doing. It's not a case of what you're doing but why you chose to do things a particular way. In short, the thinking behind your method which can only be widely understood through a commentary. As you can see from the comments, people can get stuck at a particular point by following a video that lacks a commentary. Pixel Fondue is helpful for new and old modellers coming to Plasticity, but there are a few 'tricks' when modeling with Plasticity that aren't self evident and the online documentation is, to say the least, very basic and needs a huge amount of work to bring it up to standard.
@Kuechmeister6 ай бұрын
@@Argyll9846 My reason is to copy techniques from pro cad tools, like SiemensNX, Solidworks or proE, and try to realise is in budget tools like Moi3d or Plasticity. Plasticity and Moi3d are not made for building cars for example or advanced surfacing, but I try to show its possible. Plasticity has only 2 really useful surfacing functions: Loft and Patch, I must try to solute all with it. It's possible but hard.
