So at long last we're back with another minecraft obsidian war and what better way to start than with a minecraft world war 1 trench battle. In this minecraft ww1 map theres two teams, the germans and the french. As each year in this world war 1 minecraft war continues, new vehicles and weapons will be added, making this one of the messiest minecraft ww1 maps ever. Minecraft tanks, minecraft planes and minecraft guns.. all to capture the other teams obsidian tower and win the war. This isn't a 100 days in minecraft civilization video, this is a full on war minecraft simulation. It's not minecraft war 100 days, this minecraft war will last 5 years... from 1914-1918! There's not a lot of minecraft world war videos about these days, so hopefully this minecraft battle gets you what you need!

hey plastic scot theres some mods that let you make your own tanks and planes in minecraft and it would be interesting to use them for a video so here is the list of mods: create, create: big cannons, clockwork, valkyrien skies, and create alloyed. there are some mods that help but arent really necessary

this is actually historically accurate. The German bunkers in WWI were built with the mindset of it to be more permeant with concrete and better reinforcements to the structure, while the allied trenches were a lot more simple.

The wall was a little fantastical but overall, the German trench network was much better than the french. From 1914-1918 The Germans were renowned for their trenches and i believe that for ww1 events like these, you should encourage your players to read up on WW1. For one thing, the horrifying brutality of it is truly something out of a horror movie, dead lands, corpses piled all over the mud, shellholes making No mans land look like the moon (Artillery definitely should have been a thing in this). It was a bleak horror that always fascinates me. But in top of the interesting facts on the horrors, your players could utilize tried and true tatics of the war to make their chances much better. But definitely keep up the WW1 stuff. Its so nice to see it brought to life in games.

Well not really he kinda didn't like both the Germans and French. It was just that the Germans were seemingly doing REALLY REALLY good at the beginning (and it actually did look like they were doing really good) but in reality the French were doing much better at the beginning as a triangle trench allows for quick and easy maneuvering between Obsidian and also allows the French to attack from 3 sides rather than the one side that was allowed to attack for the Germans. Also the less complicated, irregular defenses (bunkers, sandbag mg post, pillboxes) allowed the French to be able to build much much more of them so that, instead of just one massive giant defense line like the German "Hindenburg Line" (the big wall) where once the French broke through the wall. They basically had no other defenses other than that to protect their obsidian. Where as the French despite having majority of it's defenses bombed to nothingness. They were still able to hold the line regardless

I'd argue the French team had better defenses for the sole reason that their triangle trench and open-top strategic points allowed players to easily figure out when they'd been breached and respond to it while the covered obsidian towers and the German W A L L actually lost them visibility. The French's scattered mess in front of the base trench was also probably better than the solid line the Germans built in front of theirs because of the depth it provided turning a decisive breakthrough into a gradual one at least on the surface.

Yep. I totally agree with you mate. Just like the great Mustafa Kemal Atatürk once said. It is roughly translated as "There is no such thing as a battle line defense, however there is a thing called battle area defense. That area is the whole nation." Modern warfare armies are supposed to be mobile, they should hold a certain area and retreat whenever the situation calls for it and counterattack whenever the time is right. Remember, a chain is always as strong as it's weakest point. If you make a huge blunder on the line (or in this case the wall), you may suffer a decisive defeat (which is what happened when the wall was overrun). But a large area with multiple secure locations and forces rapidly moving between them will force the opposing army to split their attention and attack all secure locations at once or face a massive counterattack from most of the secure locations if you try to focus your attention to attack only one of the secure locations which may lead to a rout.

yeah, it definitely seems like once you were past the main German lines you didn't have as much to worry about and could effectively utilize stealth with most of the germans at the front. German's had a great trenchline, but the frenchies were better infiltrators.

Let's just say the Germans had an extremely solid outside fortness, but were total unprepared for digging, This is why the only way to destroy the obsidian was digging + no one was there to defend it and it took them time to do so. The French, on the other hand, were more organized and fast, Placing the obsidian in an open defended zone so French troops could quickly defend it. Also the coordination and the traps or obstacles slowed the Germans down

Yes, building strait trenches is a bad idea. I have gone to see Vimy ridge and monument where the Canadians fought, and the trenches were built in a zig-zag to avoid getting gunned down if a machine gunner managed to get in.

The KZbinrs and their Fans and Subscribers or the Players will have to take them into account while Building up their Nation.
