I was given the chance to review an expansion to the TacticalXmen UNIVERSAL ARMOR Buffalo Tactical Plate Carrier which links to a battle belt! I love having the extra capacity to any plate carrier system so when I was able to check out the expansion belt I loved it!
The Universal Tactical Adjustable Tactical Combat Belt Wearproof Waistband fits perfectly with some adapters or clips to the bottom of the plate carrier or any for that matter that can host 6 loop points to the base of your rigs.
Check out the products on Tactical Xmen's site!

I’m more of a fan of securing my battle belt to my inner belt for added mobility, plus I can keep my belt on if I have down time and take the vest off, tactical suspenders are a good addition to a battle belt

Seems pretty bulky for a carrier that isn't offering any soft armor compensate for the.... bulkiness

I'm an old schooler, I much prefer the webbing belt using metal buckle/hook like they did in the old days. Something similar to the Davis buckle. Before they decided to use plastic buckle.

With a y or h harness you could turn that belt into webbing

That Buffalo plate carrier looks like it would be hotter than shit down here in TX. It is sexy looking, but I think I need more ventilation than that if I was going to wear a plate carrier.

We are forced to wear full body armour plates and all here in Darwin Australia, so full tropical heat and humidity, it sucks but we survive.

I love battle belts but I prefer them separate from the PC. USMC issues one with webbing but since infantry is allowed to use their personal gear I use a tacticon battlebelt v1. No webbing but it sits on your hips just fine

I understand wanting to seperate them, carry a few mags on the PC and camelback, the rest on the belt. But does your belt stay there just fine even if you carry 2 canteens, stove, food, IFAK and mags? Because thats why the brits added webbing. Wih peer2peer conflicts like Ukraine where logistics is an issue, I think having webbing is a great tool for the infantry. Mounted it might be too bulky.

In my opinion Having something around your waist bothers you. The good thing about having it. In your chest area Protects you more from gunfire.ect ect

That's all well and good....But.... can it take Level IIIA soft kevlar inserts similar to what police use? In Canada you don't have to worry so much about home invasions. However her where I live n Texas, I've had 5 attempted home invasions in the past 7 years and no I can't afford to move. The only plate carrier I could find was a VSM plate carrier that would accept medium sized Level IIIIA soft body armor panels similar to police vests. The drag handle allows me to use it as a field-expedient ballistic shield as I have right next to my bed. However I also have Level III ceramic plates if I felt I needed greater protection. Any vest that doesn't have that protection level modularity is I think absolute garbage. Yes I have a minimalist plate carrier also for high-speed gravy seal maneuvering , but against common criminal pistol fire it offers WAAAAY less protective coverage of vital organs. That carrier is for when I need more mobility. But for home defense, I want to be an absolute juggernaut with a huge vest that has both soft and ceramic panels and plates respectively. Yet surprisingly VERY few body armor vest manufacturers offer this combo.

there are break ins constantly in any big city in Canada

@@davidoftheforest3822 Show me any major Canadian city's crime statistics on home invasions and murder rates and I can show you those of major Texas cities. There's no comparison. Anyways... regardless either in Canada or the U.S., most plate carriers offer very poor coverage with just plates alone. A soft kevlar side panel still does not offer the wider torso coverage of a good full kevlar panel typical of police type Level IIIA vests. The only thing that they excel at is protecting against rifle rounds but only in a very limited area that doesn't cover the lower torso or outer left and right edges of the torso if shot from an angle. Soft kevlar vests aren't perfect either, but they do provide better protective coverage from pistol fire than most average plate carriers.

Honestly, I hate belts. They don't sit right, they make it impossible for the frame on your pack to sit properly, they're only tiny, so any pouch bigger than 3 Molle spots will rub on you and make you chafe like no tomorrow and MOST OF ALL, they bounce and hinder you when running. A simple plate carrier can hold everything you need. That's just my opinion as a 20 year grunt though

Read or look into PLCE, the british way. Having full 24 hour sustainment on a belt(with suspenders) has its upsides. You do need a smaller ruck. having a lot on the PC can be annoying, 3 mags on there, some admin and a camelback. On the belt maybe 8 other mags, 24 hours food, 2canteens, raincoat and multitool. maybe even a little stove. In Ukraine, where logistics is a bit of an issue, and infantry might not be mounted but marching, I think its a better option.
