Tatra platform is and always was built specifically for great off-road performance. Best truck platform ever built for this purpose. Check the mechanical side of the design. The performance of any vehicle is not based only on the power of the engine, but on combination of power and gearing. Tatra excel n this field too.

I too joined as a junior but heres the big but I did my research I went to the Liegen on a Saterday and had a few pints with the old guys .one of the biggest tips I was given was . When you join as a junior you signe of for nine years so from sixteen to eighteen you may be in a combat role unit but you are liegley not of combat age , when you get to eighteen you resign up , now this is where mestakes are made if you continue your nine or reduce to six your ok but if you drop to three or open then this is where troubles start . The Army now looks at you as a fairweather Soldier you are not fully onboard with the Army you will find doors closed to you the Army is not going to spend thousands on your training when you can skip out in twelve months or leave after three years

Big fan of Delta Force, and Im surprised that I missed this! Definitely gonna check it out. I like how the soldiers are clearly copied from Delta Force. But whereas Delta Force is focused more on small unit tactics, it seems like Armored Fist 3 is focused on combined arms.

Like everybody here. I think an exoskelton would be a better option...The size of a soldier, the firepower of a light tank. A giant and slow mech is like a price, everybody wants to take it down.

Indigenisation strengthens a nation’s ability to produce more with fewer resources while advancing cutting-edge technologies. By fostering domestic capacity-from steel production to avionics-it creates a foundation for continuous innovation. Each successive product and production process improves, driving future development and ensuring self-reliance in critical industries, including defence.

The project faced delays due to money in its initial stages which explains 3 decade development. But the problem in induction actually stems from lobbying hawks who wanted foreign systems over indigenous ones in the Congress party. Another problem it got delayed is due to failure of Congress govt before 2014 to give funds by then defence minister from keralas coalition govt. Which was later rectified when bjps parikkar became defence minister he took the herculean task of inducting evaluating systems that the previous govts failed to realise. After parikkar died the govt started to promote desi stuff in the army by carefully electing anti lobbying airforce chiefs whom favored indigenous stuff over videshi ones. To put it simply Congress with lobbyists will spend money on designs and ridicule the industry over foreign systems which destroys their confidence plus the Babu culture in those institutions. While bjp is trying damage control with motivating the stakeholders and industry. It is worth noting that during the first bjp govt only the project got tech demonstrators in 2001 and after 2014 only stakeholders who endorsed indigenous content came from the shadows. It's a murky stakeholders and industry relationship with little or no support from previous govts

I love making fun of the Empire's AT-AT's. They're slow, take forever to turn around, can only move over flat terrain, have guns that can only point forward, and their necks are extremely vulnerable. Also, on the point about the necks, it was blatantly stupid of the rebels to not just shoot them right from the get-go. There's no need to tie tow cables around the legs of the walkers when they're so slow-moving that simply blasting the neck is child's play.

Baby steps, this aircraft will lead to more high tech aircraft and would compete with any country. Just look at AMCA varients, which would exceed current aircraft from around the world. This aircraft would place India out of reach of other countries with future aircraft, and in next 20 years non western countries will be flocking to India for military aircraft. This is just the teething phase, what Indians have learnt from this aircraft will propel Indian aircraft manufacturing to newer heights.

You know Matsimus, maybe use the term "better" more carefully, because every military vehicles are designed based on the requirement of their respective country of origin requirements, so the term "better" is very much subjective, and M10 Booker not having 120mm gun is not a weakness, considering it's not meant to engage enemy tank, and it's more like Stryker MGS it was designed to replace, support airborne and light infantry, the 105mm M35 gun is more than adequate for today use, and let's not act like M10 can't support 120mm either, since GDLS already developed Griffin platform that Booker was based on, to be able to support 120mm gun XM360, so Booker is no weaker than the CV90-120, and CV90-120 is still an IFV, just with a big gun on it, and CV90 being a proven platform, doesn't mean it fit the needs of every military, because, CV90 is like any other military vehicles, have it's strength and weakness, and this influence how it will win the contract, if it doesn't fit the country requirements, don't complain about it, country are picking what best for their military needs and requirements, if you think country picking the winning vehicle that fit their requirements, instead of the vehicle you are a fan of, as the country being an idiot, then you have no idea of how military procurement work, of course, it's easier to think military procurement is just to make certain general rich, because military procurement is very complex topic, well beyond me and the rest of online community can think of, so don't be mad if CV90 doesn't win the US Army competition, if BAE didn't modified it to meet US requirements, then it won't be picked as the winning vehicle, of course, some of you in the comments, like I mentioned previously, don't have any understanding of how military procurement work

Gundam would be the best Mech. Not because of the Franchise, or any geeking out. but because of what it can do. First, its main weapons are easily exchangeable. because it is completely Humanoid in design changing its load out is as easy as changing what weapon its carrying just like a human does. Second, again thanks to its design. it moves like a human, it can take cover behind stuff large enough to hide behind. peak out of that cover and such. Third when the combat ends. you have a Giant construction machine capable of doing many heavy jobs from digging dirt to acting like a crane, or being a bulldozer. just need giant versions of shovels to use. They are capable of operating in nearly any environment from deep space to deep water. and everything between.
