I dont know if this channel still exists, but im glad that i found this video. I just picked up a LBT QRC, and 10x12 Level 4 Ceramic RMA plates.

Great video. Answers some questions i've had about the two carriers. Now I've gotta determine my plate size

May sound a little silly, but if you don't have a size run of plates and carriers to try on, you can find the dimensions of SAPIs online. Cut the outlines out of posterboard or newsprint or whatever, and check them against your chest. Should get you a better idea.

Quick question, do you know if you can attach a Haley strategic chest rig to the LBX 300?
@nicothenodgoblin91172 жыл бұрын
There are straps that you can attach buckles to- the diagonal ones near the top- but without the velcro panel or side buckles it won't be very secure. Axl has kits to retrofit for it, but honestly by that point you should be considering a different carrier or setup.

Sorry for being so late to the party, but I have a question. How do RMA 1155s fit in the LBT 6094A (medium)? I heard conflicting things, mainly because of the 1155s’ thickness. Thanks in advance!
@nicothenodgoblin91172 жыл бұрын
So I've got the 6094A, of course, and a set of the 1155MC. They fit *easily*, not even close to having issues fitting. Generally speaking, the 6094 is a much older design philosophy of plate carrier, made for extensive soft armor backing, with what's called a "plate lifter" strap instead of the more modern close fitting design. The downside is that it's a lot bulkier than modern carriers, to the point that you can shove a thinner SAPI Large plate into it. The trouble with the RMA 1155's is that they've got a pretty wide spread of thickness, if I recall correctly they give an eighth of an inch tolerance either way.

@@nicothenodgoblin9117 Thanks a lot for the input! My only previous body armor experience was with the issued iotv (last worn in 2012), and I’ve seen guys wear 6094s and Mayflower APCs (among others). So, I am familiar with the fairly “outdated” design for the most part. I currently run 1155s in a LBX 0300 L (size based off of internet info 🤦♂️) with an LBT 6094 cummerbund, swift slips, and a few other mods. They fit pretty good, but with the plates hiked all the way up, there is about 3 or so inches of empty space in the bottom of the plate bag. And that’s been annoying the crap out of me, so I’ve been waiting for a sale to go down in size. With the Thanksgiving sales going on, I’m planning to either get a LBT6094A, or a S/M APC (with possibly a Ferro Adapt cummerbund for some stiffness). So, I have one more question… HEIGHT wise, which of the two do the 1155s fill better? The 6094 or the APC? Lol, with all the choices out there, it still came down to the 6094 vs APC. I guess it’s familiarity and compatibility with the ton of pouches and hydration carriers I still have laying around. 🤷♂️ Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long winded essay you just had to read.

@@E4Shamurai Man have you seen how much I talk? I don't mind at all. I really need to actually finish editing this raw footage I have though... Yeah the "Large" description for 10x12 makes things difficult a lot, that comes up every couple of weeks in different discord servers. I actually don't know the APC well, so I honestly couldn't tell you much there. I remember the old IOTV, was wearing one around then too lol. The newer ones actually seem pretty nice, at least for what they are.
@E4Shamurai2 жыл бұрын
@@nicothenodgoblin9117 lol, I definitely do not miss the iotv. Yeah, I’m leaning towards the 6094a, since lbt is having their 50% off sale as we speak. But then again, for pretty much the same price, I could get an APC and a Ferro Adapt c-bund (Ferro is on rotation today for their Black Friday sale) and run that. Im thinking that setup would work… 🤷♂️ Really torn.

I just mine today LBX-0300-M Woodland and i love it but there are things i dont like about it. carrier way too long i put in my ar500 A1 10×12 plates and the carrier is 2 1/2 inch too long which is i wont be able to use my side-pull mag pouch and the velcro hook flap to hold the plate is small feels like the plate will fall

Fits plates + trauma pad? Or is that what you meant by soft armor?
@nicothenodgoblin91172 жыл бұрын
I meant the level IIIA soft kevlar armor inserts. It should fit a trauma pad, though.

So both are the same quality then? I want one for personal use
@nicothenodgoblin91172 жыл бұрын
In terms of build quality, yes. The LBX does feel a little "cheaper" mostly because the cummerbund is so much thinner and lighter.
