Great job! What a surprise to see such a long video, yay! It was wondeful. What I've seen has been saving Rick's life when things get so difficult in rush hour is to not take their orders immediately, make getting customers in a priority, so pick up those dirty dishes as fast as you can. I noticed Aenne was walking around clicking on every table taking orders and leaving dirty dishes on the tables. On that last moment, if she would've just picked up those two dirty dishes maybe that would have given you more time. Easier said than done I'm sure, just an observation. Great great run y'all, made my day 😁

When you have the option to make them eat faster that would be better. The issue is also that you take orders fast so no time to prepare things, if you let them wait you can prepare and get things going. You want less people waiting but you also want them to be able finish eating so you can take in more people. But since you already know what they want you can take your time preparing before taking their order.

Omg yes! I hate strangers being too near me in a restaurant! It has been a really long time since I've been in a restaurant because covid, and I recently ate at a restaurant but outside, and their patio tables are kind of close together and I accidentally made eye contact with a stranger at the adjacent table, and i just cringed so hard, and I was just like oh, haven't felt this unpleasant sensation in a while!!!! ~post quarantine adventures~

The second run was a really good run! Didnt expect that the all counters city works so well for multi-players too, although you guys do run into each other a little, would love to see more with that layout for sure! This gave me some ideas about how to utilise the city kitchen layout, I think this idea is applicable to any food and some of the items are interchangeable. Hopefully this will utilise the blank space in the middle of the kitchen without having to walk around too much with islands like Price said, also reduce the likelihood of conflicting duties and running into each other. Vertically from top to bottom, columns from all the way right to left: 1st column: stove - fish - stove - fish - stove - bin 2nd column: counter - nothing - nothing - nothing - nothing - counter (walking space for the chef) 3rd column: prep station - plate - sink or nothing - dishwasher - plate - prep station (can put the sink somewhere else and leave that block empty for the chef to come out when needed, although cooking both fish should keep the chef busy already, or for a second person to help with cooking). Chef can pass cooked fish to the 3rd column without blocking waitstaff from picking it up from column 4, like collab overcooked mode. If there was a sink in column 3, the person washing dish can stand on the 4th column without blocking waitstaff walking along column 5. Also it will be shorter distance for waitstaff to drop dirty dishes in the middle rather than either the top or bottom corner, which seems to be the root cause of all 3 deaths in this video. Just jotting down my idea before I forget it, hope it helps!

In situations where the kitchen is more hectic and crampt I could see it being useful to have the Waiter plaiting the dishes. This way the Waiter is able to stay out of the kitchen after washing plates and the chefs don't have to go back and forth taking time to plate their meals. If you guys are able to have the sink & dishes out in the sitting area without causing negative statuses then that would be even better to reduce how much distance the Waiter has to travel and to keep the plates very near on the other side of the counter where meals are being placed.

If you are unsure which is being selected switch between the two counters or blueprints, the one that is glowing and highlighting white is tile or square that will be interacted with. Don't leave a sink occupied with a dirty or clean dish because it affects the next persons flow. And run the dishwasher when full of dishes, starting a idle task saves time to do more active tasks.

With regards to the Breakfast menu opening up, that should be available (randomly) now! The 4th floorplan slot opens up at the same time as Breakfast becomes available! As there are 5 mains dishes and only 4 recipe slots, you randomly have one not shown every time. You can also visit the tutorial to re-generate the random selection if you don't like the recipes or floorplans available.

I am honestly surprised at how good Aenne is at visually prioritizing tasks under high pressure, she's so laid back and silly yet her mind be zoomin'. I thought they were gonna fail on day 12 on the second run, but with Price keeping the fish going and Jazzy helping and also with the dishes, they puled through. Go Team!

It seems like you can do the same thing for meat pies as you can for apple pies (Bake just the crust, then add meat and rebake). It seemed that pre-baking took about 2.5 seconds. Adding meat after and rebaking took about 1 more second. Just baking a meat pie took about 3 seconds. Other than a bit more back and forth with empty pie crusts, this would give you the flexibility to only have to do the second half of the process to make any pie to order. Regardless, those apple pies were brutal.

Yes, you can pre-bake the crusts for the steak/meat/veggie pies. However, with the oven especially, it requires more interactions to open/close the door. The usual goal of a pie-run is to flour->grabber->conveyer mixer->prep station. This allows you to stuff an empty crust and cook it to order, without all the manual kneading steps.

Interestingly enough, the diagonal design might actually be supper inefficient when it comes to them coming and leaving the restaurant. If a pair comes in, would have to walk around the whole length of the tables (notable having them at that diagonal means that it is one of the longest length possible) just to get to there seats.

Sadly, the timer for them ordering doesn't rely upon all members of a table having reached their seat. Orders can show up even when the person isn't seated.

The plate stack upgrades to an auto-plater; it slips a plate under any food place in front if its arrow. In 0.15.2 however (the version they are playing in this video), the auto-plater is broken. It's fixed in the next update (0.15.3b)
