Cool. We need more cheap skates that are not sways. Keep the ideas coming. I wouldn't mind seeing a non cuffed plastic boot like the adapts sv. I think that's a good idea..... Cuffless!

I like that it has a riveted soulframe, great idea.
@jasoncalva9 ай бұрын
I’m really looking forward to trying the skates out. I hope more companies follow their lead and develop soul-frames again. I also like that the chassis are rounded off and more pre-grooved. I hope the frames are updated with that newer groove as well.

More affordable skates with different entry level set ups and foot shapes. Last thing we want is 5 skates that fit, skate and look the same. Let's think outside our own skate bubble and focus on the regular non skating curious Joe interested in aggressive blading. Make it as easy as possible for them to get at least 2 pairs of skates, try anti/flat and a look into our community so they feel welcome and actually engage and be more inclined to stick with it and become part of the community and culture. We also need to be more patient and inclusive with curious parties instead of putting up a shield and or acting like jackasses around newcomers. Another amazing episode and I'm about to order a set of TNEC's to support these guys 🤘 Well done!

Razors lives off the Legacy. Im still wishing for a Elliot reissue... I love the Shima 1 still! Lievanos cults??? Supeflat in blue? The original backslide plate before the current Elliot designed one? He dont know Marco Hintze. Razors was hitting. They are living off the legacy. Its why I ride em.

Maan id flip (we all would) if Stockwell got on Tnec. He came back on tnec. He does the nature thing and photog... give him the brown boot. Wouldn't happen but him as one of the three would be hitter.

Yes, there is a lot of skates out there, but there isn’t a lot of black skates that are in stock year-round, which kind of annoys me, being a huge fan of black skates lol. I skate a size 9 to 10 in most skates, and every time I have the money, I just cannot find a black Skate that fits my foot, in my size. Call it Bad luck, I don’t know, lol. I love Cults, and the Roces M12. Those are my two favorite skates that perform and fit my foot the best. As much money as Roces makes, I still don’t understand why they don’t keep a black Pro Level Skate in stock all year round.

I agree, I’m a big fan of the podcast but it seemed like Dave was naysaying everything about the skate when Duran clearly is saying it’s for new skaters.

The questions did seem critical of the skate coming out. Hope TNEC succeeds with what they are wanting to do. It's a great concept. Our industry as a whole needs less criticism and more support for skater brands.
@wheelsceneblading9 ай бұрын
@@Jordan.Skates I can’t think of what I said that was negative, other than it didn’t look finished in the instagram video. Duran conceded it wasn’t finished and the final version will be different. I also said the empty rectangle looked odd because we are used to seeing a logo in there. Other than that, I think it’s an interesting idea.

Not really the first of it's kind, the USD Grycon is one entry blade that comes to mind from the past. Good stuff though, don't over-complicate marketing to kids. Simple attractive stuff imo.

It could go bad. Shima had a company and skated with his homies and it still went belly up. I even bought the skates.
@wheelsceneblading9 ай бұрын
That was significantly different. Nimh and SSM started when the industry was in a much worse condition than it is now. Also, Shima never had any proven business experience before then, apart from the Rat Rail brands, which all died out around the same time. Duran has managed to keep a skate shop running for several years and TNEC is starting to gather a small but loyal following. Also, they’re going after a different audience. They are trying to get the newcomers and casual skaters as opposed to appealing to the existing core audience.

@@wheelsceneblading you're so self depreciating. Even about your moves on skates when really on boots you look great. Amazing steeze. And 5 k followers is like half of all the really hard-core people involved in this activity so that is good.
