Wendy,I like your impeccable style,very proper.Caldin is made with fish or chicken, vegetable sweet curry is called " Temprada" ,the islanders in Goa call it" Bhizouchem" meaning to dip and wet your bread,saana or rice chapattis " koylloyyi"

I would not throw the goodness of the coconut. I would blend as fine as possible by adding warm water. It will still taste delicious. I try my best to waste less. Thanks for the recipe.
