Both yarders are amazing. I used to dread moving logs around into decent piles. These make it so convenient. Closest we have to an easy to use crane. Awesome how you can hook it up and just send it back and forth while you cut down more trees.

Yeah it's definitely one of the few times "game changer" is completely appropriate. Between yarders, autoload logs, shipping containers, oversized equipment to tackle larger jobs, revamp of the chainsaw mechanics, and support for better and more interesting timber related production lines it's almost like having a completely different game added to an already awesome game.

Not using reshade it’s uses unnecessary extra processor and gfx power, but I do use Relight which is an awesome mod

@@TheFarmSimGuy I've got that glitching problem and fps drops that seems to come with this game lol. I've got a 1660ti nvidia gpu and Ryzen 2600 cup with 16g vram. I have to run my game on low custom settings and cap fps at 30 to get the glitches out. If you have any ideas on making it run better, it would be greatly appreciated.

@@redbloodedamerican2346 With 1660ti this is normal,you need a better GPU to run this game at higher settings,if you want steady 60fps on high you need a RTX card. RTX 2060 is a good one for this game,is not a newest GPU but still a miles better then slow and sluggish 1660ti,and also because is not a newest from the RTX line it's not really that expensive as is use to be.

@@mech0p I have a dual joystick setup with 2 Logitech Attack 3 joysticks and only spent like 15-20€ total. So 1-3 Hours of work depending on wage and taxes. I bought them as used items on ebay (Germany) and they are in a very good condition. It's a great set for starters i think.

I live in the PNW itd be nice to get a self propelled yarder in the game, be more realistic, for the US logger boys, typically running a yarder on top on a landing, with a loader and delimber, all on cat tracks. But we got to start somewhere glad it’s a thing now.

Little more sophisticated then the FS17 mod with the tie back cables but the FS17 mod had a greater capacity as it was based on a tracked dragline(big) but if overloaded would be dragged by the load it was trying to pull as only its weight kept it in position. These new game mods are more your European or Scandinavian scale of equipment.

While this map is dedicated for logging and such, including making a ton of new items out of wood, I was wondering how the older maps fare with this DLC? Are the new production types available there for you to place? I know the painting tool for the ground is limited to which map you are on, so was curious if it is the same with this DLC. Only these specific tools and/or shops/production lines are available on this map?

From watching his live streams of this the maps that come with the game, from what I understand, will not have the productions or missions, and for mod added maps the mod authors will have to add them as well, but as far as the equipment and new physics it will be there, so you will at least be able to utilize the improvements and the new equipment on existing maps day one, FSM please correct me if I am wrong

It's more efficient to fell the row of trees first, then set up the yarder.

Can you run a front and rear yarder on the same tractor to double it's potential log travel? Obviously you would need to unload then rehook up the logs at the tractor location. I'm lazy so I'm looking to find the easiest way to get timber from forest to sawmill for the least amount of money, without actually loading a trailer, so of course I want to try daisy chaining lines right to the sawmill.

I’m sure it’s possible, I don’t think the smaller trader will let you run logs downhill, I think it needs to haul them up an upward slope but don’t quote me on that

Hi I have an issue with the yarder on the trailer. When i started playing the game I was using it and with its 3T capacity I was moving whole trees up to 2.8T, But for some strange reason it wont even lift a 1.4T tree now. The moment it lifts a meter off the ground it disconnects. Ive tried a new save with no mods and still the same. Its really annoying because i love using it but now i might as well just use a tractor and winch. Has anyone else had the issue?

Honestly this has nothing to do with the video but I hope that in the next FS game there ends up being actual missions along with the ability to properly dig with an excavator like we can in construction sim I know that's the purpose or construction sim and farm sim is meant for farming but it would be great to see it all in one game

You can dig now using Terrafarm, I do like the idea of more missions of staged projects you progress through, I think the rollercoaster and boat are just the start

No they should just work exactly how I’ve shown in the video here, thy loading a game with no mods and see if a mod is causing an issue clashing with it
