I wonder if they thought about giving the base game factories a facelift. Because it looks like they incorporated smoke coming from all the new ones. I’ve always felt like that adding stuff like that would bring the realism up a notch. I’m curious if you can sell stuff like the chairs and tables on other maps? You answered my question at the end of the video.

if you’re on PC, you could use the Buy Production Inputs mod for some of these productions. That mod allows you to buy any missing items that are required by production facilities on any map. This would allow you to use any of the placeable production facilities from Silverrun on any map.

True. But that's a big IF your on pc. If your not well them my statement holds true. When i cover a map or mod I do it within its own sandbox. How does the map or mod stand on its own. Just about everything is possible with some combo of mods.

One of two options for Giants, either they update the sawmills on the base game maps or they integrate the old sawmill into the factories menu. I think they are just going to overhaul the base game sawmills. As for the iron mine, i think they will bring it out as a placeable.

As always you did a good job of explaining things. And it also show how conflicted Giants really is. I've been around since the release of FS2009. After the milk truck fiasco of FS13 its been a heart break in every release since. The modding community is the only thing that has made this badly broken game playable.

It's a little cheat but you can get everything you need from the Easy Weigh Station And Fruit Shop I already tried it on Goldcrest Valley

I hope there are changes that add the appropriate placeables because I personally don't like the Silverrun forest map. I prefer flatter maps where the deforested land can be easily converted to farmland later. I tried playing the Silverrun map but got aggravated with it's limitations. I've decided not to use any of the Platinum Edition DLC until this is corrected.

I've noticed that the grass texture is nicer. Not so cartoonie. The environment just seem more realistic if you wanna say. Do you know if this will be moving onto other maps

You had the same idea I had for the iron mine. Using the wheel loader is just too much work when there is a far easier alternative. Cool video. Yeah, don't know why they have alternative to long planks for some but not others.

Just wondering if you put down the small weighbridge fruit buying mod on another map. It has iron ore you can buy.

What trailer do you use to buy pipe and empty pallets from a buying station? It says it sells them but nothing works. Tried flatbed, dump trailer, pallet auto load trailer, enclosed reefer trailer, etc..

I'm not aware of a buying place to purchase metal rolls or pallets.

You can NOW. You couldnt when this video was produced. Giants released an update that allowed you to place the iron ore mine and a sawmill that makes long planks and other such platinum materials.

Yo hoo I Found a way to remove the gravel after you jack hammer it on consoles, after the rock turns to gravel go to construction,Landscaping, sculpting, then Soften. Gravel gone fore ever lol.

you can just pickup the gravel with a bucket. unless its a contract then its not collectable and vanishes when you finish the contract.

I dont think I did I was kind of focused on production inputs that would make the production usable or not usable on other maps. I kind of saw the lack of sheep and a spinnery on the map as something that could be resolved easy enough with placing buildings where as production needing long planks are kind of useless outside of silverrun at the moment.

huge oversight not making sure these productions are fully functional outside of silverun forest. Really limits the longevity of the expansion and the creativity of modders I hope this gets remedied by giants.

Would be quite easy to make a mod that takes logs as input and outputs all the things the sawmill on this map does

There is no switching how the train runs it moves on a fixed spline.

i dont know if anyone else is having this bug but every time i deliver logs to the pond at my old sawmill my game freezes at the animation of the logs moving from my trailer and into the sawmill. what could be causing this problem and how can i possibly fix it???

I live next to a forestry plantation. It may take 20 years from planting to harvest, but the trees are farmed. Also where would you get your Christmas tree from, if not a Christmas tree farm.☃️🌲🧑‍🎄
