The first time I heard this song tears were streaming down my face. And when it was over, I wept...hard. You see, this is my daughter. She was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis when she was 7 yo. She's 27 now. It is crippling. She has been in horrible dark places at times in her life due to living in pain most of her life. She has learned to live with pain every day that most people will never experience in their lifetime. It's in every joint. And she deals with it. Every Day. She is a beautiful person, inside and out. She is the brightest most intelligent woman I know. This song gave me a glimpse of what she goes through on the daily. As her mom I have experienced a different side of this HORRIBLE disease...and it breaks my heart. With God, all things are possible...even dealing with JRA and mental psychosis. I love you baby girl.
@annabellaepriestly33572 ай бұрын
I just want to say that your comment really touched my heart. I was on the other side - I was in 5th grade when I was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis - which is similar in a way to JRA. I've been dealing with this my whole life, and just as much as *I* went through it, my mom went through it. I can't imagine how hard it was to watch her child suffer and not be able to do anything about it. You sound like an awesome mom.

My aunty is now in her 80's and having lost both her children at a young age one in a car crash age 21 and the other to adult cod death syndrome in her forties . But still my aunty fights on through it all. She is the most amazing woman I know. My heart really goes out to your daughter and I honestly think people that have to go through this disease and battle on every day are an inspiration to us all

I also lost my father when i was 15. Cancer. Im 38 and 4 months ago cancer also got my mom. Ive had so much loss and so much this last year. House fire took my home. Partner of 9 years ended our relationship less than a month before mom passed. And a week ago i found out my work is going under. I have to find a new place to live with new roommates in this economy and also a new job asap. If ever there was a time in my life where i needed hope, it's right now. And Ren has been helping me get through it. He does inspire the meek to be strong. I share Hi Ren with anyone who will watch it with me. Thank you for your reaction and your vulnerability. We all go through darkness to find the patches of light before we must traverse the dark again. That pendulum swings and it is true that faith is needed to believe that from darkness there will be light again - and more dark - light - dark - light. It is a dance. Relax. It's going to be ok. Until the game is over. But I swear I won't be quitting early. I want my credits at the end of My story.

When I watch REN do this song I can see where it speaks to anyone who gone through a long medical/recovery process and the emotional rollercoaster that goes with it. I had sepsis in 2017 and have had 16 surgeries involving amputation of my right hand, finger amputations on my left hand, all my toes, hip replacement, knee replacement all stemming from the sepsis ( still don’t know what caused that) ,…. The point is anyone going through a long recovery it’s a lot! It’s as much mentally difficult as it is physically difficult …. So I totally identify with this. It’s genius!!

20:05 Thank you. You're the first person whos vocalized/described exactly how Im able to push through. I lost my mom when I was 16. I'm 47 now with two young children who are the eternal loves of my life. Id thought about checking out early since i was a teenager. Since theyve been in my life, no matter how heavy the burden gets, ill happily carry it as long as the good Lord will allow so my children won't have to feel the pain i do. I would never ever intentionally put that weight on them. I'm blessed every day I'm given to wake up, carry that cross & bare that burden myself-just to be with them as long as possible. I hope some day when they're older, despite some tears along the way, they know just how much they were loved and appreciated. My children save my life every day. I'm eternally grateful. How could I ever repay them but to be present and try to be a better mom every day to them. And better, and better. The struggle is real, but I know I'm loved & I will be okay bc I was sent 2 guardian angels I can hold. God, break these chains bc they've long earned all the peace & happiness this world still has left to offer. 🙏❤️

Just wanted to say I'm happy you're still here. My father lost his father at 15 as well. He found him at the end of a rope. And it ruined him. And it "ruined" us, his children. I've done a lot of work to heal the pain of my ancestors. My brothers would not see it this way, but I see the mark it's left on them and that they've passed on to their children. Some of those children have been doing the work like I have. Like I will be until I die. And I'm happy that they are working to pass as little of that on to the next generation as possible. I also suffer from a myriad of illnesses, including autoimmune disease and mental illness. We have to be our own advocates and educate ourselves. There have been times when I've introduced the experts to clinical studies or concepts that have actually resulted in real changes not just for me but for others as well. One clinic instituted a while new protocol that enables them to do biopsies in clinic rather than having to do them under general anesthesia, lessening mortality risk in several ways. I don't know if I was the catalyst, but several years ago I shared some protocols from a peer clinic within the same institution and a peer institution in another state. Now they have equipped their clinic to follow that protocol. So if my follow up test indicates the need for a biopsy, I won't have to wait weeks and go under. Sorry. Got off track. Keep on educating yourself and don't put up with any doctor who doesn't welcome YOU as a partner on your own health care team. Mad respect and all the best to you.

What a profound meeting of the minds ❤️🩹 Krizz much love to you and I do hope you're able to stay in your children's lives as long as humanly possible... What an incredible blessing of strength and wisdom you bring to those kids ❤️ Ty BP for putting this together... You're the glue that's connecting us all 🫶

I try not to watch this video too much. It wrecks me. When I saw that you had big Krizz Kalico on, I knew what it was. I know about his struggles as I've been following him and tech for decades now, it seems. Beautiful reaction. You knew exactly what you were doing here, Pegasus. I'm also with you on that one line, the sound you hear when you loosen the....., and this is the first time I've heard anybody call it out. 😢❤

Love this sooooooo much! Thank you for sharing so vulnerably! 3 of my 4 children have had crazy journeys with autoimmune issues. They are all adults now but the struggle is real!!

Probably never gonna read this, but man, love from Germany. Love seeing people opening up when they listen to this. I finally went to get help for my mental sh*t, Ren was a huge part. I am so so so much better. And yeah, I want to talk to Ren about the world. His influence is insane, almost everyone who really lives and thatfore suffers loves him and his work. I feel you, Krizz.

When you mentioned the Hope and loosen the noose on the rope line and tearing up everytime you hear it? Me too, every time. Its so powerful. Ive showed Ren to soooo many people, such an important artist for EVERY generation. Not sure if youve done Tale of Jenny and Screech and Violets Tale (both linked songs), but the dude is a genius. There arent many ARTISTS like him past or present. Glad it resonated with you guys so much. Important discussions happening everywhere simply because of Rens music. 👌

I think this is my favourite guest reaction to Hi Ren from BP.... His face the whole way through was just locked in and speechless.... he didnt need to say a word, it was written on his face 100%. I love that Ren "wakes" our normal human emotions. We have been conditioned for so long to numb ourselves and just push everything down and carry on. Ren shines a brilliant light into your soul and reminds you that the emotions are there and they need your attention, we all need to pay more attention. There is BEFORE Ren (BR ) then AFTER Ren (AR).... its special what its doing to help people. Loved this, thank you and for being so open to talk about your own struggle.

Krizz - your kindness and the wisdom you expressed really hit me. Thank you for figuring out how to accept and deal with life on life’s terms. Thank you for staying alive for your sons. Children need parents. Sons need fathers. I believe the conscious connection you choose to build with your kids positively impacts the human community right now and for generations to come.
