Great interview, as usual, but I was hoping Dr. Spiker would change my mind about the lack of any real importance of Kalam. Alas, his arguments for Kalam were not nearly as strong as his other work and I still find it hard to justify the study of Kalam.
@purekhiziКүн бұрын
where was kalam discussed in the video? I didn't notice
@majesticsoysauce8648Күн бұрын
Kalam is absolutely necessary for Muslims living in the west and even in their homelands today because of the pervasiveness of western philosophy everywhere. Kalam is just the understanding of our aqidah and the proofs of our aqida in a deep way, you can watch Paul’s discussion with shaykh shams tamees on this issue
@Heideggerian123Күн бұрын
You don't know, the video you are commenting on is part of Kalam on from a grand perspective. I think you should read Kalam For The Dummies first

If you read the Bible Jesus pbuh said in John 17:3 - "The only true God" ☝️ "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." 🔎 Explanation: Jesus refers to God as the "only true God," emphasizing that Jesus was sent by Him, not equal to Him. ➡️ Islamic Perspective: Jesus is a prophet who always directed people to the worship of one God. In Surah 43:64, Jesus is quoted as saying: "Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is the straight path."❤☝️

It doesnt seem to me that Platonism is an adequate soltuom to anything not that you cant take anything from Platonism but thus view of lime idealizing plato and going back to platonism theres a reason Platonism in the West led to this point
@purekhizi18 сағат бұрын
You obviously haven't watched the video. As he repeatedly says, he's not talking about Plato the historical individual
@purekhizi18 сағат бұрын
You also obviously don't know the history - Platonism hasn't dominated in the West since the 12th century
@Zoro-dv6xl15 сағат бұрын
isn't it aristotelianism that has been dominant in the west since forever, and not platonism maybe?

There is only one solution. His name is Jesus The Christ.
@jaketwigg1065Күн бұрын
God created Jesus. Stop being misled into worshipping Man as God. God was not born. And he cannot die. Using the bible as your basis of belief is like building a house on sand. The truth will prevail over every falsehood. Telling people to worship Jesus is like telling people to join you in the hellfire.

But the Bible said God is not a man nor a son of man Verse Numbers 23:19
@housseinemin8941Күн бұрын
Why do you believe that?
@jeffwilschut7161Күн бұрын
@@jaketwigg1065 Please explain to me the overall narrative and conclusion of all things that are revealed in the quran. Also, tell me about each prophet and what they are prophesying about concerning the narrative and conclusion you described. Use examples in point form along with verse references. This way, you will prove the legitimacy of the quran. I am sure a person with your capabilities is champing at the bit to get down and tell me of all the wisdom from the quran. So that, once and for all, you will disparage the scriptures in the Bible.
@jeffwilschut7161Күн бұрын
@@Islamic_MrChminkaaa That is correct. He is not a man who is conceived physically but came into this world by Spiritual intervention. Therefore, God humbled himself by taking the fullness of His Word and Wisdom in the form of man. So that He may become the final living sacrifice. Then by His mercy, with His untainted shed blood, He is able to cleanse us in order that we can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit in us is His grace, which is His Power whereby we can overcome sin. No one will enter into His Kingdom except through Jesus The Christ.
