One major blunder there! "Not Fade Away" was written by and originally performed by Buddy Holly. The Stones just covered it. It was Buddy Holly who based it on the Bo Diddley beat, and the Stones just followed suit.

High Andy , I’m of an age that I remember the Stones from the beginning , which will gives you some idea, lol . They inspired me to pick up the guitar, and then girls and life took over, and my guitar took a very long back seat .
