I know I was there but it’s starting to get easier for me. It’s worth it if you just keep hacking at it. Eventually your fingers will know right where to go and how to make it sound right without you even having to think.

If you put a capo on fret 3 with standard tuning, it actually sounds like the song. You have the three chords right but this is the capo version on fret 3. Tom Petty actually plays a couple different easy chords with capo on Fret 1...... I think the correct version he plays uses E major, Asus power chord (2 string A chord), and a B power chord that is easy.

Great lesson… Awesome song! Love the guitar! FYI… You’re pronouncing Dsus incorrectly. Sus is short for suspended(you’re playing a suspended chord). So it’s D sus(pended). But it’s all good! have a blessed day!
