I'm 53 years old. I recently brought my old guitar out of its box, took the strings off, got the lemon oil out, took care of the poor things, and dry rosewood fretboard made it happy with new strings and a polishing. I haven't played in 15 years. I finally understand the caged system and how the shapes work up and down the neck, practice each of those shapes until they become fluent like the transitioning of the cowboy chords, and that learn these cool patterns and hear what key they are while playing...develop your ear and your playing. My playing has improved tremendously in a few short months watching these videos. I wanted to take the time to say thank you and much 🙏 respect towards you and your team and for much success within your channel and its endeavors. I sound like I know what I'm actually doing.

Another great lesson Eddie, I really like these simple few note boxes expanded over 3 octaves. Over the past few months I have found myself hanging out on a Saturday night waiting for the notification that you have dropped the next video.

I actually learned how to play all over the fretboard connecting shit that sounds good because I watched his lessons. Definitely simplified guitar learning for me

This is a great lesson. A tip to force you to try and make something musical, a phrase, utilizing just 4 notes. Otherwise beginners (like me) tend to go up and down a scale mechanically and not doing music at all. Limiting the available notes is a good trick to force the player to be inventive, musical and artistic

Thank you for sharing this! I love the 4note appreggio pattern., you definitely broke me out of the pentatonic box man!😀 Much appreciated, from South Africa!🇿🇦🔥

The intrinsic stair pattern of guitar makes the chord tones almost endless. I sometimes wish I had an 8 string so I didn't have to feel cramped when I get past the 14th fret.

lol I have an 03 Squire Standard Stat & I put one of those same blades in the bridge. It's my 1st guitar so I have a little passion for it but honestly, I tend to play my higher standard units
