This is your best video ever - and the best Rhythm Changes breakdown I have ever seen - well done ! Thank you for the thoughtful and high quality content.

Very helpful & clear simplification & overview of what can be a daunting progression.

Nice. Thanks for this. I like how you said it makes a great template. It's exactly the type of progression where you need one.

I’m really enjoying your videos! New audio setup works great as I can now understand every word. Thanks so much for all the time it must take to put these videos together. Cool transparency with you playing layered on top of the chord chart. All the best to you and happy hollowdaze!

Loved this video! Great advice. I’ve been listening to as much Bird on rhythm changes as I can, and starting to get the feel of what you’re talking about. I have definitely noticed that he doesn’t play the B note on the G7 in the A section.

Excellent presentation! And you've really got that guitar dialed in - intonation is impeccable, those chords purr. Subscribed.

Thanks man! Great guitar but it’s a world of pain above the 12th fret… So I just don’t play up there haha

Nice job. I’ve been playing the Bb over the G7 for a while, treating it like a flatted 3rd over a dominant. Thanks for sharing that others do it. So that opens up Bb Ionian a lot of the A section. Even pedal tone F7 tones over that section kinda like Oscar does over a one chord. Thanks for posting.

very good video. i can even play some stuff on giant steps, but my playing on rhythm changes always leaves me wanting.

Another trick for the 1st 4 bars of A is the extended I - VI - II -V: [Bbmaj7] [G7] [C7] [F7].
@JazzGuitarScrapbook8 ай бұрын
I assume you mean Bb there?
@alexpavchinski8 ай бұрын
Yes of course, just changed it. @@JazzGuitarScrapbook

Is your other rhythm changes lore video on your other channel?
@JazzGuitarScrapbook Жыл бұрын
No… it’s from ages ago (2020?) you should find it. Tbh I want to redo it at some point.

Actually I may have unlisted it because I wasn’t happy with it.

Haha sorry. Flip side of short punchy videos. Hope it’s some help.

@@JazzGuitarScrapbook it does. I went back to some of your earlier videos and I'm already sailing through some blues changes.
