Thanks for thorough presentation! ❤ Feels like my 21mo is in all of the schemas 😂 But maybe it is thatjust a lot of different things are of great interest 😊 Gonna follow a bit and see if anything stands out. 🧐

Thank you so much Ayelet! I have always wondered about schemas what they are and how I could apply them in raising my daughter and this video was exactly what I needed!

Thank you for this video! I always find play schemas to be a bit confusing. It seems like a few of them have some overlapping activities to fulfill a schemas which I like. Question though, my son is 16 months and has been into dumping water out of his straw cup or open cup, would this be the trajectory or transforming schema?

Thank you so much for the very informative video! My 16 month old son has been throwing things for a very long time, but he also loves transporting objects from one box to another etc, and especially putting tops and lids on things. So he can be standing on top of his learning tower and put tops on and off the pots, and then start throwing them on the floor. not exactly sure what to do then. He loves being around while we cook, and I can give him a container with food that he pours into a bowl, but the next second he wants to throw everything onto the floor. Any advice?

16 months was definitely still a very hands on age for us in the kitchen haha meaning I really tried to always have a task for him. I’d prep things while he was there but not yet able to access anything so that when he started helping it was all ready. That way I could give him the next thing each time. He wasn’t a big thrower but when he did throw something I’d have him go get it and remind him that the item stays on the counter. Also clearing the space in front of him was definitely necessary when we were more starting out!

Such an informative video, thank you 😊 Can a child be in more than one schema at once, or would they be in only one and then move on to another? And can they move back and forth repeatedly between the same schemas or does it tend to be more of a progression? x 🤍

Thank you! Yes they can be in more than one at once and there’s no prescriptive order or anything. They can last for a very short time or long time and can come and go in them!
