Closer, Make or break, Someone to love, Radioactive, Money can't buy & Satisfaction Guaranteed were great tracks off the first album. Together, Midnight Moonlight and You've lost that livin' feelin' were real turkeys. I always enjoyed the track, Free to live, off the second album. Thanks for doing the only retrospective of the The Firm on KZbin.

Tony Franklin also formed Blue Murder with John Sykes of Whitesnake and Thin Lizzy and Carmine Appice.

Live in Peace’s only redeeming part is Page’s solo. I always skip the first part, but could listen to that solo over and over.

I think that's Jimmy's last GREAT solo on record.

In 1985 I was a Senior in College and among other things, wrote record reviews for the school paper. Being a big Classic Rock fan, I of course bought this album and played it constantly (I was also a DJ so played it on my show). I also saw them on that first tour. The show was OK - but if you only have one album, and you refuse to play songs from the biggest and one of the biggest classic rock artists of all time - that’s a bummer. Would love to have heard Paul Rogers belt out a few Zeppelin and of course Bad Co. tunes. In retrospect - I still love the opening song “Closer” but that’s really the only tune that comes up in my rotation these days. I thought the album sounded murky, and Page’s guitar sound was muddy and sounded the same on all of the songs. I gave it three stars.

I love these videos Man especially this the one on the power station and Asia.. have you ever thought about doing one on the band "Hardline" from the early 90s there's a lot of material to work with there and also I found it interesting they have a new album out just a year or so ago

Cut Loose. That was a great album. Paul wrote all the songs and played all the instruments, a one man show. A cutlass was featured on the album. Pretty clever for a muscle car enthusiast. Then he saw my old Buick Skylar drop top, while I was driving on Daytona Beach. He loved the car, I loved him. When they played the night before, Paul dropped down on his knees while singing that very lyric, hardly stiff. I can tell you didn't get to see much Bad Company Live. You may be too young, to know better.

Looking forward to the Survivor episode! I’d also like to see you take a deep dive into The Tubes; one of the strangest bands in rock!

Love that you mentioned the Tubes. I definitely have a retrospective for them planned for next year (?). Be sure to subscribe!!!

@dread true Yeahhh it's tough. I have a few projects to get to before The Tubes, and every video I make takes a really long time. The Tubes are one of my absolute favorite bands so I want to do a lot of research to make sure I get it right. Definitely will take a few months... but it's coming! Also, that's great info! Thanks for the comment! And be sure to subscribe! Lots of good stuff on the way!

The Firm laughed all the way to the bank when "The Firm" the Rap Supergroup had to pay for the rights to the name which sold MILLLIONS of albums. So whose the genius ?!?!?!

"Rhythm section is a little an anonymous" ? Methinks you need to research a bit more. Franklin is a monster fretless player.

As he pointed out in the video, Franklin went on to have a good career but he was pretty much a nobody when The Firm was formed.
