Merci beaucoup for this next series. I found an exercise for strengthening and coordinating the 3,4,5 fingers. Left hand: thumb holds down C, 2 holds down B. Right hand: thumb holds down D, 2 holds down E. This puts 3,4 and 5 on F G and A. I've started just playing F G A G F, and sometimes trills. The first time I tried this I really felt my forearms and it was difficult. Now I can fairly easily do it for over a minute at 140 bpm. BTW I started playing at 65 years of age after watching a video of Jason's. I went out and bought a keyboard and am now four months in. Funny there are some of Jason't videos that I watch for a fourth or fifth time since I find them so valuable. Again, merci Jason. I had an advantage for finger because of my profession and also my circumstances. I am a Chiropractor but suffered a shoulder injury. Let's just say that it is a FURS syndrome now after multiple operations due to a medical error. But I saw many shoulder surgeons and I asked lots of questions about shoulders, since I started seeing many people for shoulder problems. I developed a technique that works well for the shoulder blade, and also a self treatment technique. I have done a video that is in the editing process now so I can send a link when it's ready. I also talk about getting strength in the fifth finger using a simple trick based on the anatomy and neurology of the hand and wrist.
