Have one of these. Never once regretted the price. Mexican factory puts out incredible signature models. Also have a Troy Van Luween Jazzmaster from Mexico. The BEST Jazzmaster I’ve EVER had. MIM is a gift to those of us that love guitars and don’t want to sacrifice feel, sound and quality.

It would be great if they gave us an option to buy the MM Strat without the relicing, and instead gave it a bit of aging.

I have never been interested in strats (for some weird reason), nor relic’d guitars. But this one looks gorgeous. I am still not going to buy it, but if I had to choose a strat, it would be this one. It looks amazing value.

I bought one No issues except string height ... Plays great feels great .Plus I dont even think about any scratches or marks its meant to leave out and be used .I cant afford a CS so this was fine for now . Dont be hung up on the MIM I have 3 American ultras and there is no difference in Quality . My best strat is a 2015 MIM . Get what you can afford .

That chip in the headstock is recreated from Mike's '60. When he was in the side band with Layne Staylie (Mad Season?) While playing live one night, Mike did his routine abuse on his Marshall cabinet by stabbing it with his guitar. In result, it chipped his headstock. I know i spelled Layne's last name wrong. Sorry about that.

I preordered one of these… The Neck Pick-up didnt work out of the Box, the Neck was a mess (you could drop coins between the fret and the strings without contact by the 7th fret) And the Guitar was generally dirty, i cleaned it beforehand, but the fretboard was still dirty Had to bring it to my luthier of Choice, its great now, but yeah

Great review. One question, doesn't the 57 and the 61 American vintage ii strats come in nitrocellulose?
@charlesbolton84713 ай бұрын
Yes, the 50s and 60s models in the American Vintage II line have nitro finishes. The 70s models do not, because Fender had already started using poly finishes.
